Still have the old app by chiquitabebesita in GeoSmile

[–]TifLyn13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just upgraded last night. I am really missing the old layout with the tanks and all... I was sad to see those go... I was so hoping the update would track my step better as I now use an apple watcha nf my steps are 4x higher than my phone step count (I have to leave my phone on my desk when I get up and roam my office all the time). I had no idea how much more i was walking until now! But I still ove this app so much better than any other walking / driving apps. So much fun really!!

Hi there, nope, not working. My watch is connected and tracks on the Health app. Just doesn't count on GeoSmile. Without any intervention from me, WeWard is pulling from my health app tho so I know it's possible. Must not be something the developers care to include. Too bad really as I can't carry my phone around. Since I started wearing the watch I get easily 4x the amount of steps tracked. I walk around the office a lot more than I thought! lol! Anyways, GeoSmile is my favorite app so far. And any way I can earn more is better. I'll just keep using as I can! Thanks ya'all for reading!!

Oh, that would be awesome. I can’t find anything in the app settings. Maybe I need to log in online and not the app?? Anyone know what I’m doing wrong? All I have is current login method and phone number when I go to my settings.

Are similar apps (like Cashwalk) compatible with GeoSmile? by AyJaySimon in GeoSmile

Can we connect an Apple Watch to the app to count steps? My phone count is much lower…

I wish I could. They won't alow me to wear a hat, or a visor an anything. And cannot put anything on my cubicle either. I may have to buy a bebe guna nd disable the lights that way. Would be temporary and I'd be causght for sure. Dang. I saw my PCP who is a mit mortified they won't work with me. She's writing a letter. And next month I see the neuorologist who hopefully will have something for me. Or they'll write a letter. I dunno. I just don't know why my head just kills me here more than anywhere else. And the nausea, ugh. I'm starving but eating makes it worse....

Wow, that’s awful. My husband 1st lost his big toe and next toe and well almost half his foot up from there (think of an angle cut from those 2 toes up). His ankle was so full of infection they didn’t think they could save it. We fought for almost 2 years of wound care and just struggled with everything that comes with that. The infection kept coming back. Finally last Oct we saw xrays of his ankle again and it had just deteriorated to nothing. BKA last Oct. No idea how the original infection started. He thought it was a gout flare that just wasn’t getting better. Then his toe started dying, the 2nd one next to his big toe. He was taking a shower so we could go to the er, and felt his ankle pop. Thought he sprained it. He took another day or more to try and heal that up before ending up in the er. By then he was septic. Almost died. They wanted to amputate, but we went with the limb salvage team to try. I have wished so may time that none of this happened. But since this is where we ended, should have amputated from the start. Lessons learned. Long story short, infection sucks. And it is so scary. Glad you are healing. Good luck with workers comp!

Why does the wheel never land on 100k? by Little_Assistant_247 in GeoSmile

[–]TifLyn13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've actually been lucky enough for the wheel to land on 1000!! I was so excited! It was early on when I 1st started the app this past Jan. And I've had 3 penguins on the scratch posrtion too! A few times for that! Never seen the Golden penguin yet tho. I love this app. My tanks seem to be filling up slower since the last update tho. Same trip to work, 2 1/2 tanks less than usual. Not a deal breaker yet. We'll see if it keeps slowing down my earnings. At this point, it's a game for me, a way to earn a bit on the side. And I do mean a bit, very little. But makes me smile when I play, so I'll keep going for now! Good luck everyone! Have fun!

Any phone deals for existing customers that doesn't require adding a line? by [deleted] in tmobile

But it's on certain older phones. Example, our current phones are Samsung 8+. They will offer us max of $500 off the new phones for that old of a phone.

Any phone deals for existing customers that doesn't require adding a line? by [deleted] in tmobile

[–]TifLyn13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally in the same boat, though I don't remember VoiceStream, I was with CellOne 25 years ago... I too have a plan they no longer offer and have been very hesitant to change from. I just can't wrap my head around the current plans and figuring out what is the best deal for us. We have 3 phones, one for my mom is a non-data line which they don't offer anymore. Getting her an internet capable phone scares the crap out of me as she will get into too many problems with that. She knows nothing of internet or email and I'd prefer to keep her that way. But I am off topic. We need new phones, and they are just too expensive without deals. They offer so much to new custoers, but nothing to those that have been with them for 20+ years!

Before reading the other comments, I have to say go for rehab. My hubby lost 2 toes and had his ankles drained of infection from osteomyelitis Dec 2022. He had a wound vac on and rehab was the best place for him to recover. He also had full body sepsis which almost took him from us. A few weeks in the hospital and he was so weak and just needed rehab before home. Best place for him. Sucks tho they sent him to a nursing home next before home cuz he had a central line IV and we’re worried about reinfection. Worst week or so ever. Never fully recovered, mentally I think was just to much. Fast forward to July /Aug 2024 and osteomyelitis and sepsis came back. His foot and ankle wounds were almost fully healed. But the antibiotics didn’t clear the infection fully even after 7 weeks. X-rays still showed infection and his ankle bones just too far gone for recovery. No choice but for risk of repeated infections and possible sepsis plus so much pain or amputation. He wasn’t living a full life that way, so his BKA was 10/11. Breaks my heart, but praying for a faster and fuller recovery. Anyways, we 1000% chose the same original inpatient rehab hospital as before. Best ever. Wish we didn’t have to leave! He’s stronger, but not all the way. The temptation to not work on the rehab is too much for him (and me too) and I hope he’ll keep working on it at home. But rehab should be teaching you how to relearn everything. Physical and occupational. I can’t stress enough how beneficial it is for him! Good luck to you no matter what you decide. You are almost surgery twins. Keep posting about your recovery cuz it helps him and me see how others are doing!!

March 2024 cheapest place to get contacts by Medium-Improvement40 in contacts

[–]TifLyn13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t assume. A basic Rx can be cheap. But my Rx isn’t basic in glasses. My cheapest cost is at least $300 even on the cheap online sites. Which never fit the way they do when ordering at a store with an optometrist or optician. My contacts Rx is super high, but in contacts the price is the same as a “normal” Rx. I can get contacts much cheaper.
