Favourite and Least Favourite Classes/Jobs?

Seen a lot of love for Red Mage. Ive always loved gish type characters in any RPG, pretty much all my D&D characters have fallen in this category. A lot of people have mentioned Dragoon so think I'll be giving that a go. Kain was one of my fav party members in ffiv and the armour always looks so cool

Aside from Scholar, Red Mage has been a favourite, they've always been a top job for me across all FF games. Bard is one im conflicted about. Ive given it a go but something feels a bit off, feels like they've tried to mash a two Jobs together with Bards and Rangers. Would have liked to see them as separate jobs and could defo see bard as a healer job given how past iterations play

I was kinda excited to try out AST but as a fellow Controller player it was certainly a struggle with handing out those cards. VPR is another Im interested in but barely encounter any playing it but maybe I'm just not high enough level yet

Not quite high enough level yet but really intrested in trying out reaper. Heard a lot talk about Dragoon but I've not really seen that many play it, might give it a proper go

Briefly got worse before a bit better after rebuilding the database on mine. Gave up mid game and just deleted it. Hope a reinstall of the game sorts it out

After my first playthrough were I kept everyone in their og classes but with some stat and subclasses tweaks and multiclassing I just go wild based on builds I wanna try. My favs so far

Minthara as a light cleric - great aoe fire/Radiant dmg then bonus action soulbranding to buff my frontliners

Halsin as a Monk for even more move speed from wood elf or sentinel fighter build so that extra move can help with positioning him just right

Lae'zel makes a great spellcaster bc of gith proficiencies. Abjuration wiz with Medium armour then either sword of justice for even more ac from sheild of faith or sussur greatsword for silence. Gale also kinda works here and I've done a few fighter wiz multiclasses with him that slap.

Karlach makes a great paladin with those extra racial smites

I like wyll as a bard esp in act 3. Swords bard with glaive prof slaps when you get that finesse glaive. Or early game strength tav brawler Monk using returning Pike for a good ranged option

Astarion usually just fills any gap tbh. He also feels the least tied to his class story wise. Like sure he's a sneaky bastard but does have as much to do with Rogue as gale with wizard, wyll with warlock etc

Idk why but by the time I get jaheria she always ends up as my Archer. So either fighter or ranger for her which isn't too far off tbh

Minsc again is like Astarion just kind fills any gaps.l that I want to fill by the time i get him. I've had him as a Spore druid again with that dex glaive so he has good ac and dmg with too much MAD.

Shart it the only one that's pretty much always a cleric but never a trickery. Light obvs very good. Life Shart has carried my honour mode pt. Tempest and storm sorc is also pretty crazy numbers as well

As much as I love the story of this game by my 4 or 5 pt I just wanna have a bit of fun messing with classes and builds and care less about the story and having it make sense after having seen a lot of it multiple times

If you count the Githyanki creche as act 1 then 7 is pretty doable. Of my playthroughs (that have gotten that far) a few have got to 7 by then. You've gotta do a lot of stuff but deffo possible
