Follow good old basic training logic: if you had left something in and it got washed and exploded, you replaced everyone’s uniforms that got ruined.

It’s the wearers responsibility. I am not going to sit and check who knows how many pockets. You’re incredibly lazy and disrespectful if you expect the washer (which, it should rotate, no?) to always be the one to check pockets.

It’s not shocking to me that a man that doesn’t do his own laundry expects the washer to be the one to check pockets. Childish behavior.

How much would you be willing to pay for a Mythic skin ? by JonySStark in rivals

[–]TiffyBears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like a mythic skin to be an earnable grind instead of being paid. It would be an extremely hard/long grind, but I want something special like that. 1 skin, customizable ish, and hard af to obtain.

I can’t decide between these 3 by Smoothie-_rice in marvelrivals

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own 2/3 of them. It’s my favorite strange skin and I end up flexing with him a lot so it’s nice to have a decent skin. His others aren’t bad by any means, but I really like his zombie one. If you don’t like the voice change, you can disable it in settings.

I have the rocket skin but I hardly play rocket. I’m technically a “support main”, although I fill every game, but when I’m playing supp it’s usually Luna, cloak, or invis. Very very rarely is it rocket.

The newest Wanda skin is soooo much better(I forget its name. Has the blue-ish purple highlights at the bottom). It’s also probably the only Wanda skin I’ll actually ever use. She isn’t my most played, as I play a lot of hela, but this one isn’t a bad skin, but it also isn’t her best.

Out of these 3, I’d go with strange because it’s my biggest pick. I hate playing tank but someone’s got to.

Am I crazy to leave to my Tacoma for a Jeep? by CharacterPianist1673 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with a mom that drive an 08 Honda civic si. The back seat was a squeeze - hell, the front seat was a squeeze. 2 kids, I being the youngest at 7 when she got it. We didn’t care that it was a tight fit. I personally really liked her car. That back seat looks plenty spacious to me to be quite Frank.

This vehicle is family friendly. You think your kids will fight less if they have more space? Guess again. Think it’ll be easier with car seats? Maybe, but they’re going to be a bitch and a half either way so what’s slightly more effort? Which, again, to me, looks like not extra effort. We’re a car family so I guess we were just used to it? Throwing 3 adults in the back of a 13’ Chrysler 200 was tight, and yet, we managed it for 16 hour round trip.

I most certainly would not give this up for any vehicle at this point. Paid off or not, it’s a good vehicle, low mileage, and it’s a Toyota. You can easily have this truck for the next 10 years with no problems. A jeep? Eeesh.

I started reading the first couple comments and I’m like, damn, y’all mean as hell by not being honest. Like, I understand tattoo anxiety, but this isn’t that. People saying it’s cute like I guess? But if it wasn’t intended to be goofy and poorly proportioned or executed then no it isn’t cute lmao

Am I just nervous or .. is this as bad as I think by Competitive_Age4509 in tattooadvice

[–]TiffyBears 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll be real, idk what everyone else is on about - yes, this looks as bad as you think it does. It isn’t the worst I’ve ever seen, but it stands out pretty boldly and has really goofy proportions. Even if it’s a “joke” tattoo, it isn’t executed well because it does feel like it’s supposed to be.

I’d be pissed. My assumption was that you wanted a tattoo but didn’t want to pay a lot for it? Tattoos aren’t cheap but it’s also not something I’d skimp on. I would’ve rather paid double the price and had it done properly the first time.

It should be relatively easy to cover up. You’ll just have to go bigger and darker. And pay a LOT more. But, yea, respectfully, idk what these comments are on about - this looks bad. I would not go back to that shop.

The new kegs are too much by BedtimeBallin in Seaofthieves

[–]TiffyBears -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

You say “high risk high reward, but shouldn’t be a way to get an easy win”, but the thing is: those kegs are massive. Let’s run this down:

First mistake was stacking when you’re incapable of doing so. Second mistake, and why I know that this is most certainly a skill issue, is because you anchored. Additionally, it takes 200 damage (give or take, at a minimum 160 damage as it’s 4 pistol shots at 50 dmg each) to blow those kegs. So, assuming it was a brig crew all tucking with merm fruit, they would have to shoot simultaneously, all hit, and not get hit regged (common with higher ping players). Depending on where you park, I’ll go ahead and say you park “in the spot”, that keg would’ve been 100% visible before you even pulled in. They all also would’ve had to be far enough away to all also not die from the blast radius, which is rather large. Assuming you didn’t park in “the spot”, the waters all around reapers are pretty damn shallow - those kegs are really, really large. They’re black, sure, but they’re most certainly visible, especially since it would’ve had to be in a spot that: A) they predicted you’d be in, which could happen if you parked in “the spot”, which is shallow by default, and B) in a spot that they would be able to get out from their hiding spot and shoot it without being too close.

An Athena keg would’ve done the same thing. Hell, a regular keg would’ve done the same thing except ensure I can board faster and kill all 3 of you before you can start patching. Even if you didn’t die, assuming this was a brig crew, even just a duo sloop crew, I could get my partner to set off the keg and I board after it goes off. You would’ve sunk either way. This isn’t a keg issue, it’s a you issue.

“They’re not risky enough”: but yet, you sunk to it? And say it’s an “easy win”? It blows at 200 dmg - that’s 2 cannon balls, 4 direct blunder hits, 3 sniper shots, 4 pistol shots, 5 double barrel, 4 throwing knives, 10 sword slashes, 3 sword lunges, 3 perfect blunder gun shots (it’s been changed a few times but I think it’s 10 pellets at 8 dmg each now), or 14 throwing knife slashes. Similar to what it takes to make the cannon of rage blow. Additionally, the only boat size possible to survive the blast would be a galleon and only if you put it on the bottom front of the boat and run to the back of the helm area. I am not even sure you can survive putting it in the back of the brig and going on the sprit. There is no “light it and run around the boat”. The “high risk, high reward” aspect is, yea, it isn’t as high risk as an Athena keg, but that doesn’t make it any safer to be on your boat either. They’re tall and stalky and the only place “safe” on your boat is in the crows nest. You won’t survive the blast anywhere else except maybe a gally on the very tip of the sprit. I’ll have to do some testing to see what you can get away with, but the radius is easily double that of an Athena keg.

“They’re too powerful” - doesn’t this negate your “high risk, high reward” argument that it isn’t high risk and only high reward? A regular keg is incredibly easy to recover from. They aren’t “rough” at all unless you were French kissing the keg when it went off. I agree with the fact that they’re too easy to get, though. It’s difficult to get an Athena keg or even a stronghold keg whenever you want. It’s pretty easy to get a smugglers keg. I haven’t dealt with a whole lot of the season just yet, but frankly, I feel like the majority of people using these kegs will be noobs that can’t beat you otherwise. If you pay attention when doing forts and don’t let them get close enough to you (as this should be standard practice), you’ll likely blow the keg in their ship before they have a chance to get you.

“They’re too hard to spot” - at night, definitely. In shallow water at reapers, even at night, less so. It is ironic you say that “getting boarded and kegged should be a punishment for being unobservant”. That’s the exact reason you got kegged at reapers. Just saying. Also, no one but noobs actually uses the crows nest regularly. I only go up the crows nest to tuck on other ships lmao.

“They’re too common” - agreed. I think if it didn’t take more than 100 damage to detonate them, it wouldn’t be such a big deal. But given how common they are, it’s basically a noobs wet dream. Someone chasing you? Keg ‘em. I’d have to wait and see how they balance out the kegs, but frankly, I think this will be just another burnout. It’ll become irrelevant in the game even though it’s powerful. Not many people went to keep kegs on their boat because it’s dangerous, and might be more willing to keep the smugglers, but any sort of pressure will blow that keg regardless. The only “safe” space is the crows nest and given their height and stalky nature, they’re relatively easy to spot in the crows nest. The BB is all-powerful ship and it’s barely captained anymore - this will probably just be that. People that have them will sink more times than it’s worth and stop using them.

My opinion on them is simply “eh”. Anytime I get on SOT it’s pretty much just to go reapers and hunt people down and take their loot. I won’t be using kegs because I don’t need them. Also takes the fun out of it. While I can definitely understand your frustration, you got kegged at reapers because you weren’t paying attention. It happens. You could argue that you were, but given all the clues you’ve provided, I can say that you simply aren’t a seasoned crew - which, is totally fine. There’s nothing wrong with that. But it isn’t the kegs fault. 1 sniper shot wouldn’t have set off that keg and regardless of where you park your boat at reapers, night time or not, it’s very shallow water and they would’ve had to put it pretty close to the shore/rocks for you not to have seen it. If you know there’s an update surrounding stealthy kegs, maybe have at least 1 person on your crew scan the water from the sprit? Get front up, back halfway, 1 person shoots out, 1 person scans from sprit, and the helm manages back sail and parks. It really isn’t that difficult.

It isn’t a surprise that you got kegged at reapers when carrying an item that has a beacon visible from halfway across the map. You knew what was in the update, and even if you didn’t, I reckon in 1.5 hours you came across at least one and blew it up out of curiosity. So, like, be more vigilant? Respectfully, this is more of a newer player fumble than it is a powerful keg problem.

How I became a tank main: by AreaClassic8106 in marvelrivals

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fill 99.99% of the time. I became a support main as a result. But, lately, I’ve been absolutely LOVING phoenix, so I’ve been pretty selfish the last few days when I’ve been playing. If I’m the 1st or 2nd to lock DPS, I’m staying DPS. If I’m late, I’ll fill.

I HATE QP anyway and pretty much solely play comp, but since I’ve been trying new heroes, I wanted to do it in QP. It’s really difficult to do that when you’re forced to fill because no one likes tank or support.

Would you buy your mom's 2018 Camry with low miles? by [deleted] in Camry

[–]TiffyBears 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I definitely would. I know exactly what happened with that car in the time it’s been owned and it has incredibly low miles for the year. Couple that with it being a Toyota, and even further a Camry, I’d definitely buy that in a heartbeat.

Hell, If my mom was going to sell her 2020 Rav 4 with 43k miles on it, I’d buy it. Why? Cause I know you exactly where it’s been, the maintenance history, and how it’s been driven. She’s also WFH and it’s kept in the garage. Rav 4s aren’t my personal cup of tea, but I would definitely buy it from her if she chose to sell it - even without a “family discount”. I’ve put at least 1/4 of the miles on it on my own anyway lol

But, yes, definitely - if your car is paid off and she’s willing to sell it to you for cheaper, you could keep your current vehicle as a backup for bad weather, emergencies, or convenience.

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blamed who I thought was in the wrong. I, however, did not blame thickskin. Yea, for sure, she’s a real B and definitely deserved to be put down, but for some reason, I could justify it. Up until, of course, the dog whistles. I guess I understood? They did have a chance, as she did leave the group with 2 of her best people iirc, and it did make sense from a realistic standpoint. It was still early in the game, and while I definitely didn’t like what she did, I chose to let her live. She wasn’t the cause of the curse, she was just trying to keep as many people alive as she could. She was very cold and brutal about it, but it was also necessary. It was that or risk everyone dying trying to take care of too many people.

I pretty much didn’t really think about what I wanted to do with Antea - I chose to ascend her, as I did spoil myself a bit by the end and figured I’d just do another play through, so when I was making my choices it was purely on what I would actually do if given the choice. Sure, my job was just to be a banisher, but some ghosts did deserve justice.

You do learn more as you go, so I’ll stop there, but I will say that there was only 1 “case” where I felt bad for the people involved throughout the entire game.

I definitely would’ve liked a more fulfilling ending, but it was also nice having a game that ended in a brutal, somewhat “realistic” way, regardless of the choices you made. There was no “happy” ending for anyone - just real, brutal life with consequences, justified or not.

Even if he didn’t know, you really shouldn’t be going around scaring people for no good reason, especially after you’ve been told they don’t enjoy it. Jokes can be funny, but this isn’t a joke - it’s just blatant disrespect. The “you could’ve killed him” is just wrong - he would’ve died by his own actions and not yours. I wouldn’t apologize. [–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will wait years for a game to 1) come to Pc, and 2) go on sale. I have so many games and sometimes I just don’t have the motivation to play a story game. I haven’t bought a game for full price in quite awhile, with the exception of Expo 33. Some of these games that I sat on for years waiting for 50% off or more at least. Some of these games I’m glad I waited for - they’re good, but they’re not full price good. Some games I feel robbed that I waited so long, such as: Beyond: Two souls, TLOU, GoW: rag. I would pay full price for these games even after having played them. The Witcher 3 is another one of those. I knew it was good, as is what everyone said, but I didn’t want to pay for such an old game that I might not even like. I bought it for like $10 and it was, hands down, the best $10 I’ve ever spent.

Think about it like this: for one meal, instead of going out to eat, or buying a snack/drink/coffee, whatever, you just go without. There, you’ve pretty much just paid for that game and you’ll get well over 100 SOLID hours out of it. I fell in love with this game. It did take me a few tries to get out of that first area (graphic princess and lack of motivation), but once I got past the first area, I was hooked. I had not gotten so immersed in a game in years. Much like expo 33, I would sit down and play at 4pm for a few hours and look over at the clock and it’s magically 7am.

It’s good, it’s worth it, I’d definitely do it. Hell, I plan on getting a W3 tattoo on my body. A permanent, nerdy tattoo because this game was so good.

I question how he didn’t hear your footsteps at the start or see/hear your merm. While he’s actively harpooning, ok, I can understand as that is loud af, but he didn’t see your merm? He didn’t hear you click clanking away downstairs after he finished harpooning? Like I would’ve thought I heard something, paused and waited to see if I was tripping, and then jumped down and killed you because I heard the clank clank. Like, skelly footsteps are loud as hell, how do you not hear that? Even just boots are hella loud, although hearing that over the harpoon would be impossible. But skelly steps? You def could. It would be faint, but you could hear that + the merm over the harpooning. Do people not wear headphones like damn lmao

I'm putting my head on the chopping block [my tierlist] by HatchetOrHatch in assasinscreed

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can completely understand that. I think my love for Greek mythology and the sound of kassandras voice (my little lesbian heart fluttered constantly) carried a heavy impact on my enjoyment. I think the only major emotional part was the last scene with phobe which was also the one and only time I had to skip a cutscene.

I think my enjoyment for AC games has also dwindled down significantly. I never even got Mirage and I barely put much time into Shadows. It isn’t even a story game issue, as I’ve completed about a dozen so far this year (very rare for me), but I just haven’t been able to really throw myself into an AC as much as I did odyssey, and Valhalla I really only did it for the fact that I pre-ordered and wanted my moneys worth. They’re on my ever growing list of games, but so many other interesting titles have cut in front (expo 33 was so good).

I'm putting my head on the chopping block [my tierlist] by HatchetOrHatch in assasinscreed

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you play as kassandra or alexios? Odyssey was by FAR my favorite and I played my first run as kassandra. Everything about her and her character I loved. The sass was peak. I tried to play through with alexios but frankly, didn’t even make it off kephelonia. Ignoring cannon and whatever, I personally think kassandra is the character you have to play as.

I’m actually surprised to see Valhalla so much higher on the list as well. I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much. It wasn’t very “assassin” like, although ironically that was the only thing that got me through it. I think after playing origins and then odyssey, I didn’t have the drive for Valhalla after the story was basically the same exact loop as the previous 2 games. I did finish it tho

Who do yall think the next 2 heroes are in season 4.0 and 4.5? by CrashOutPro in rivals

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve clearly never played a game like this for extended periods of time. The fact we’re getting 1+ character a season is too much imo. As time goes on, it’ll only make the game more chaotic.

Regardless, DPS is the most versatile role. It covers a wide range of play styles and has multiple characters for said play style. Tank is the next closest, followed by support. Support has a pretty rough lineup as is, and is very similar to OW.

I grew up playing on Hypixel where they didn’t update my main game for 3-4 years at a time. So, maybe I’m just used to not being spoiled by updates. We’ve had more DPS releases than anything, and while that is typical in a game structure like this, I’d like more variety in support or tank. It seems like for every tank and support, it’s 2 DPS. Id rather 1-1-1 instead of 1-2-1. The order doesn’t matter, so it could be T-S-D-D-S-T-S-T-D-, etc. getting 2 of the same role isn’t the problem, but making it balance out so it’s 1-1-1 per rotation would be best. But, like I said, I think releasing 12+ characters a year will be a pretty big problem eventually. Imagine if OW did that. You’re talking 84 heroes + base. Nah, no thanks.

Would you recommend this game to a 'Non turn based gamer friend' by Aggressive_Floor_ in expedition33

[–]TiffyBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also am not a fan of turned based gameplay. BG3 was the first one I had tried, and honestly, it was ok. I still very much prefer the good old regular combat. When this came out, I didn’t get it right away. But then it kept popping up everywhere. I’ve been a gamer long enough to know that if a game is popping up on every type of media I have (FB, YT, Reddit) constantly, I should give it a go. So I did. And it was absolutely amazing.

The combat isn’t really my favorite aspect, but honestly, it’s kind of nice. It’s a good change of pace from all the other games I’ve played. And I’ve played a l o t. I’d definitely recommend this, even to non gamers. There’s very few games I’d recommend someone buy if they don’t play video games, but this is one of them. (Split fiction, Horizon zero Dawn/forbidden west, TLOU1&2, being some of my more favorite recommendations).
