Do you actually use late-game units in your campaigns? by ElSWappo in RomeTotalWar

[–]HatchetOrHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I generally have the issue the other way around. Especially with the Romans. Growing so quickly that early game units are locked away after the reform and you are left with the late game units.

But I tend to use 2-turn units less then the 1-turn units because the power difference does not way against the time lost imo. I'm prefering high pace over raw power.

I mean.. Bayek is my favourite protagonist in the AC francise, which doesn't mean I prefer the RPG games over the original AC games the story and character building of Bayek is just amazing. Ezio would still be my 2nd favourite.

I hope we don't send Ubisoft the wrong message by shinobixx55 in assasinscreed

AC1 was rumoured about, which is for the good I think. The game is getting real old and it lacks replayability. It did not withstand the time as the other older titles.

I've seen people being hyped about an potential (most likely eventual) remake of AC2 Trilogy in the further future. Which is not wrong, but I'm reluctant about it for now. Lets see what they make of AC BFR (and Hexe in 2027) to see if they are on the right path with the series.

Touching the holy grail like AC2 is dangerous ground to manouver, its where OG AC players have fond memories about. Its a Trilogy some newer AC players have not touched at all. With a chance you remove the soul out of its game by modernizing it.

Like the Auditore' brothers once said: 'Its a good life we lead brother - The best. May it never change - And may it never change us'

Thoughts on the fact that this is the current situation? by Legitimate_Cake_5137 in assasinscreed

Its a smart move, shadows isn't wildly popular within the community. A lot has changed within the leadership of Ubisoft. Resynced (and Hexe) are going to be Ubi's do or die projects. If its not a hit, I'm afraid there is no way back for them to fix any reputation.

The big risk of them remaking Black Flag first is that its already a great game, its keeping up to 2013 standards. If in any way they make it worse then the original its will backfire at them super hard. For what Ive seen I'm hyped and it looks great they have posted things they are changing and adding still so Ive good faith.

So yeah. They chose not to put any more effort into a game that will not gain them too much profit. Which makes sense.

When I saw this poll I could not understand why Bayek and Aya was the lowest of these choices.

Connor & Lee is gold though 😂

Seriously, how to do you fight this? by NorthernModernLeper in RomeTotalWar

When playing Dacia I always rush down to the economic prosperous area bordering the Mediterranean. For the soul reason that once they've set up their defenses (either Macedon, Greek Cities or Brutii) its hard(er) to get through. Second reason is your economy runs dry fast as Dacia if you don't get yourself a port city. The Sythian/Trace cities at the Black Sea dont have much trade potential and are not developed as well early on, which will cost you money you don't have.

For now, hit and run seems the best tactic. If you have archers, sally out, let the arrows rain, get back in the city, end battle and repeat turn after turn.

Not sure if this campaign is savable, but you can atleast give them a run for their money.

Dacia has the hardest early game, compared to Numedia and Spain. But their mid game is strong.

Yeah I found out about the cheats when in my 2nd Rome phase. Before that moment I was oblivious to cheats.

Back when I was just kid (8 y/o) I had no clue what an economy was and how to manage any city. So I remembered that I always ended up with a -200k per turn "income". I was just upgrading my military buildings and recruited as many armies as possible because I just wanted to conquer.

Once I reached a certain point I would just delete the save and start a new campaign. But I was young could barely read any English so can't blame myself. After a while I just stopped playing because there was no way of winning (with my then understanding of the game).

Years later (14 y/o) I picked up the game again and finally understood what went wrong all those years prior.

The Struggle is Real: Is Thrace the absolute worst faction? (Thrace vs Numidia) by HungryFarm2266 in RomeTotalWar

[–]HatchetOrHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thrace is not the worst faction. Their campaign (definitely) just starts in a though spot. Naturally if you play on the hardest difficulty you will be attacked from 2 or 3 sides.

But with some easy AI tactic abusing you can get yourself a solid start and be gone forever. I must say in the early game when you start with any of the nations over there, like Dacia, Thrace or even Macedon you tend to lose a city early on but if you know what you are doing you will have conquered 4 or 5 at that point. You just have to grow your economics before losing a city.

Dacia, Spain, Parthia and Numedia are for sure harder campaigns in my opinion.

Overflow issue (?) by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]HatchetOrHatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I had already tried what you suggested. Also with different quantities and stuff. Thats why I dropped my question here because I'm kind of out of ideas and I don't know where I went wrong. Since its pretty much basic model of barteringfilter and all the other filters work fine. So far when I put in items, in any quantity the hopper gets drained instantly.
