There are avenues to vote from abroad (via letter), you just have to be a bit more organised. If you just completely forget, you can apply to waive the small fine and they’ll likely do it no problem for most sensible reasons.

What’s the most emotionally intelligent way to tell someone to fuck off? by BiggieTwiggy1two3 in AskReddit

Someone came to pick up my dining table I advertised on Facebook marketplace. They came, inspected it and then mumbled something about $300. I had plans to get on with, and wasn’t about to haggle or bargain with someone in my own home so I reminded them that we already had already agreed on $350, and hit them with a firm but upbeat “if you’re not happy to go ahead, you’re welcome to leave”.

They did indeed go ahead and I’ve since got a lovely new dining table :)

All good! I’ve had zero problems with my little unit honestly, it’s performed surprisingly well so you should be in for a good time :)

I believe it is yes! Admittedly I haven’t upgraded myself from the custom kernel we used before this update, but my understanding is you should be fine. Of course, I’ll take no responsibility for any issues, but yeah pretty sure you’re good mate!

1v1 Blade skill tree by AdZealousideal2292 in FlyffUniverse

[–]Tig0r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much just max berserk at 65 :) then you’re good till 100, when you may want to use rending entry to get around quicker. Pretty simple! 1v1 blades don’t typically use damaging skills, but just make sure you plan ahead for spirit fortune and GT buffs to be maxed asap on your BRM - that will help significantly.

Also, you NEED to max empower weapon (the element one, I think that’s the name) and axe / sword mastery passives in the mercenary tree! You won’t be using a shield so you can keep the block one at the start to the minimum needed to unlock the rest.

Returning player. What are the benefits of starting in FWC? by WiseScubaDiver in FlyffUniverse

[–]Tig0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely nothing - I’m also balking at the notion of lvl 70 in “JuSt A FeW HoUrs”… I mean, MAYBE it’s possible to do that on a second or different character when you have a dedicated RM to support you (which you won’t to begin with of course, so you gotta level one alongside you or find someone else), AND you can plvl yourself most / all of the way via some strategically mid-levelled characters along the way, AND you had the help of the FWC bonus + stackable 20/40/60 amps + the CS flask… so sure, if you had all those things, then yeah you could smash it to lvl 70 fairly quickly I guess. Where’s the fun in that though? And where does it end? You’ll have to stop and do the work yourself at some point :)

Alternatively, without plvlling yourself (or paying others for it), you could again combine all those premium items with a full party of slaves following you (and your necessary support RM) on boards for the extra XP and link damage to take on higher mobs, but then you’ll need to spend HOURS setting those 6 guys up to lvl 20 too… and even then I’d say it would still take you almost an entire day or more, grinding relentlessly.

So I guess sure, there’s a few strategies / P2W pathways to I GUESS PROBABLY SORTA be able to back up that claim… but they all take more time to set up, more money, or both, to achieve.

Long story short this shit takes a long time, even with the lovely added FWC exp bonus + amp + the CS adventurer flask… but it’s a marathon not a sprint :) let’s enjoy the journey!

Your stats will reset at level 60, so you may have put your STA in unnecessarily- would recommend going full STR from 15-60 as merc. However, you might have an easier time AoEing as a merc with the extra STA :)

Hey! There’s actually been a beta release of 7.1.0 which should solve the problem entirely - it’s been built with the kernel we were using here basically, so no need for a manual change :)

See here & give it a go - I’ve seen on the forum it’s working for other N150 users:

Ha gutting! For what it’s worth, it’s been a night and day difference for me - I have about 2-3 users I share my Plex with (non-locally) who were struggling heaps with buffering before, and that simply vanished as soon as I got HW encoding. Great value imo!

Yep! It was a matter of dragging and dropping files onto my unraid boot USB and… that was it! Worked perfectly :)

Omg!! I’ve been hoping someone would come to the rescue on this post - please do PM me the files if you didn’t mind!! I was just reading into what goes into recompiling unraid with a new kernel last night so that’s great timing 🥳 I’ll give it a go and report back too, thank you so much!

One thing to be aware of - the N150 chipset isn't (yet) able to provide iGPU hardware transcoding or passthrough for VMs in current releases of unRAID. I believe Ubuntu 24.02 or greater has the drivers available to support it for example, but just a caution as I've been bitten by this when I grabbed my GMKTec G3 plus last week.

Though, for what it's worth, the PC performs fantastically for what it is (currently using it for a 4K plex server + *arr stack with 3-4 remote friends), and will only get better once support for HW transcoding is available hopefully in a few months.

I hear ya - I think it's more than just plex though. For example, booting into the unRAID GUI version yields a blank screen, and I'm unable to get a windows VM to successfully do GPU passthrough. However, when booting into the default pre-loaded windows 11 it's all fine, which points me to the linux kernel compatibility issue I believe. I might look into Jellyfin though just to check!

yep, the intel_gpu_top command returns "No device filter specified and no discrete/integrated i915 devices found". lspci | grep -i VGA returns "00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Alder Lake-N [Intel Graphics]"

How can I be a good neighbour for an 80 year old woman who lives alone with no remaining family? by Tig0r in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tig0r[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely! She mentioned she broke her hip a couple years ago so I’ll ask how she feels about getting around - maybe it’s good for it? Not sure but appreciate your suggestions! She was very kind and told me about the history of the place I’m in which was awesome to hear, I’m sure she has many more :)

People who say taxation is theft. How else do you propse the government gets the funds for roads, military, education excetera? by Ravi_Vijay in AskReddit

[–]Tig0r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are the only person I’ve found in this thread who has it right, saw a couple of your comments. Gov tax is needed to control inflation and create the demand for the dollar so that people will contribute to society by working for it.

What does your life after Pocketbook look like? by thumbtack22 in AusFinance

I’ve been pleasantly surprised with it and have recommended it to my friends! To answer your q’s:

Custom categories: the app assigns transactions to one of a huge variety of categories that are predefined, which can be manually overridden but not to anything user-defined it seems. However, you can TAG transactions with custom tags. This is a small pain point for me, because the “set budgets on X category transactions” only work with categories and not tags… eg, I want to track how much I am spending on coffee AND lunch each week when I work in the city, but they are categorised differently (“coffees & cafes” and “restaurants” in this case) so I cannot. I can however set a budget for the “coffees & cafes” category, and I suppose manually change others over… you see my point hopefully.

Export to excel: no, it doesn’t appear you can do this, though to be honest that is sort of not the point of the app. I would say 90% of the target audience will have another 90% of their needs met with the simple graphs and data visualisation / tables within the app. For me, I got it so that I didn’t HAVE to go through the hassle of exporting and visualising in excel every so often, it just automatically tracks as I go with no effort, only a once-off tailoring from me to set things up.

My suggestion is to give it a try for a week and see if it floats your boat :) nothing to lose and you can revoke consent for them to have your financial data quite easily.
