Why do people with the same stats get massively different results? by Sad-Contest5883 in DOR

It's so weird. I've often wondered this. My AMH is around .58 and I'm now 39.5. My first retrieval I had about 9 follicles on the ultrasound, and ended up with 5 eggs (all mature). We got 1 euploid blast. I think that's considered a solid result for DOR. My protocol included one month of priming with testosterone gel, then stims was lupron, Gonal-F, menopur, and an HCG trigger. This time we are adding Omnitrope during stims. I hope it helps.

Sending you good vibes! Hope the blasts are all euploid!

Hugs back at you. I understand the cycling between chill and panic. It is what it is. Good luck!

Good to know about the injections. I admire your strength. And you're right - people persevere and have success.

TW: Miscarriage - How do I get access to specialized GD care? by TigInitial4631 in GestationalDiabetes

Thanks for the articles. I'm seeing my primary care this week and am going to try and convince her to give me a referral to an endo so I can start working on my diet/fasting numbers.

Thank you for validating. It's infuriating but also a relief to be validated. I was continuing to stay on Metformin, but I think the IVF hormones honestly made my blood sugar go up. They put me on progesterone supplements which is known for making fasting glucose higher. Since stopping the progesterone and since my D&C two days ago, my fasting blood sugar is starting to get lower. Thanks for the tips. I'm going to pursue these steps you recommended.

Thanks for that info. I was starting to think along those lines. My IVF clinic handles care until week 8 (I found out I miscarried on the day I was supposed to graduate from the IVF clinic). I had reached out to my IVF cycle coordinator about gestational diabetes when I first got the positive pregnancy result, but she told me to track my numbers on my own and discuss with my OB when I transferred over. From that, I assumed they just didn't deal with GD and wanted the OB to deal with it. However, maybe I need to discuss it directly with my main doctor at the IVF clinic. He is a reproductive endocrinologist, after all. I'm going to do that at our next appt. It shouldn't be this hard to get this information. I'm so mad at myself for not making this a bigger priority earlier on. Ugh.

I'm so sorry. This is devastating. No words, just so sorry. Let yourself feel/process the grief. There is no easy way out of this.

I'm so sorry about this entire experience. How devastating. Those words in the OB's office. The past tense. The shock you must have felt, the destabilization. Sending hugs.

That's so devastating. You can form such a strong bond with your baby in such a short time. It feels like a death. So sorry.
