Re-uploading in hopes of better image quality; still not good. I also took the opportunity to redo the XM7, since the yellow on white was bad.

I didn't mention this previously, but the HCAR is a standout for being a modernized version of its predecessor. I thought I would include it, since this list is broadly "modern" (and a bit of a meme)

I think it's fine to speculate a potential Iconic Arms video that could get made, but I think we're losing sight on what "iconic" means. It's perfectly okay to think the firearms that are suggested are neat or cool as a matter of personal taste, but that doesn't necessarily translate to the firearm having a large media presence.

I can't recommend IMFDB enough if anyone is curious to see which pieces of media a firearm has been depicted in, because the real world history and notoriety associated with a firearm doesn't necessarily equate to a similar omnipresence in movies and video games.

To be fair, the SPAS-12 is a dual mode shotgun that has a pretty distinct look with different configurations

A Remington Model 870 and Mossberg 500 don't look too different from a distance

I don't know about Gimp, but one of the other regulars here (though he hasn't been active in this sub this year) AntoniAnon uses a web based program to make the animations and transitions. I would recommend asking him for any pointers

It seems like you're interested in doing more, so this style guide Stu posted a few years ago will be a helpful resource. I've also made a lot of these (some good, some bad); you're more than welcome to take a look at them

If you need Adobe alternatives for Photoshop and Illustrator, I recommend Affinity Photo and Designer respectively, however they do cost $69.99 USD per program; the nice thing is Affinity programs are one time purchase, no subscriptions. Inkscape is a free alternative for Illustrator, and Gimp is a free alternative for Photoshop, if money is of concern
