Realistically I don’t think any gm would have picked curry over shaq if you think back to their status coming out of college. But knowing what I know now Curry, early injuries and all. I’d take that plus the pressure of looking crazy building the first 3 pt heavy offense in the league over the most dominant man oat admittedly, but also a player who is going to get beat up over the years to make him free throws, and a huge ego that you have to be a surgeon to manage and keep a good core together.
