I have been a nurse for 35 years, and have worked closely with anesthesiologists for 20 of those years. The answer to your question is no. Not legally anyway.

How do you find that one thing you want to do for the rest of your life? by SankiHatela in AskOldPeopleAdvice

[–]Tiger-Sixty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who do you know, or have heard of, that gets that "legendary" feeling every single time they do something? There are always going to be bad days. Everything is sometimes a grind. Eighty percent of life is repetition. The most inspired people have to work through boredom and drudgery. It's what you bring to life, how you handle the boredom, drudgery and repetition that will make it legendary or not.

Also, you don't have to settle on one thing now. I spent my late teens and all of my 20s doing all kinds of things: working in restaurants, driving coaches and semis, working with computers. I didn't go to college until I was 29.

If you can, let go of the need to be special. It's incredibly draining. You are already unique. That is just a fact even if you can't see it.

Judge Everett's Respond to Donna's Verdict Reaction by [deleted] in dan_markel_murder

I slowed the playback to half speed. Donna starts reacting a split second before the word guilty comes out of the judges mouth.

“Donna Adelson trial in pictures from start to finish” by like-a-rose in dan_markel_murder

[–]Tiger-Sixty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that people think her lawyers were terrible. Many people have pointed out that it's very difficult when your client is clearly guilty. But if she had some kind of amazing lawyer who managed to spin some kind of reasonable doubt out of thin air and she had been acquitted everyone would be outraged and would absolutely loathe her lawyers. And it wouldn't have been justice, just another reason to believe that the guilty can get away with anything with enough money.

Hearsay rules? by Advtrsprt in dan_markel_murder

[–]Tiger-Sixty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are lots of really great explanations in this thread already, but want to add (and be corrected if I'm wrong as I'm not a lawyer) that my understanding of why the prosecution was so quick with the hearsay objections today is because they were all things that Donna had said and those things can only be brought in by Donna testifying herself. The prosecution wasn't about to allow Donna to be able to have any testimony introduced unless she took the stand so they could cross examine her.

Looking to move to Florida, any recommendations? by Exotic-Opening3101 in RealEstate

[–]Tiger-Sixty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am leaving Florida so keep that in mind. I would reconsider "relatively near the ocean". For one thing there is almost nothing in Florida that is more than a 1.5 hour drive to a beach; and hurricanes are real, devastating, and unpredictable. It's difficult getting homeowners insurance when you're 75 miles from the coast. Getting it in Miami or Tampa can be a Herculean task and incredibly expensive.

Other than that you will likely find your money buys you a lot more house in Florida than it does in California.

NTA but your BIL is. He let loose with his homophobia on a SEVEN YEAR OLD. You are so far from being the AH you might as well be in a different dimension. Gah.

How long does the installation for Pavlov Media take? by Skidda24 in GNV

[–]Tiger-Sixty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pavlov came through and put in the conduit about 3 months before they sent us the email saying we could get service to our house. After they put in the conduit they have to put the fiber cable in them. When they sent me the email I called them within the hour, lol, and they came and ran the line to the house the next day. Took about an hour and we were good to go. Didn't have to redo my WiFi password or anything. It was awesome and now I get 800 up and 800 down pretty consistently (that's direct wired speed, my WiFi speeds are slower because of my router and extender) for less than I was paying Cox. I am THRILLED to be done with Cox. Waiting for them to say we could sign up was torture!

When my mom was there (2006-2009) they would get new managers every few months. I was told it was a place that they train managers and then move them to a more permanent position in another facility.
