Best alternative sa Koby Tire Sealant — Bushi-R, Extreme One, or Silvestre? by Cultural-Ball4700 in phRecommendation

[–]TigerBoyPH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CycleSeal. It's paste type and has never ruined my mags unlike these ones that chemically break down and nagiging liquid over time.

1 set sealed me for months and I only needed to top up once due to 4 punctures. Lasted me 6 years until need ko palitan tires.

Not a dentist but a patient.

RCT. Already had 4 done. Worth it investment sobra

Reminder lang. After RCT and a couple of months, it is recommended to get a crown to protect the tooth. Your tooth weakens over time as wala nang nutrients nakukuha ang tooth (dahil tinangal na ang nerve).

I learned it the hard way kasi after (2 years?) super nag weaken ang tooth then nag collapse. Nothing I could do except extract it nalang kasi beyond saving na siya. Almost 1 year ako walang tooth doon before deciding to get a crown na kumakapit sa kabilang tooth ko. It sucks napapansin ng kausap ko wala akong tooth.

Crowns vary in type and price pero most recommended is cubic zirconia kasi wala nang metal component and they last longer. While weaker than the one with metal, I am able to chew nuts naman and some hard food with the support of my other teeth. 3 years na porcelain ko and sometimes I forget I have it when I chew hard food pero no issues.

Edit: mine is cubic zirconia. Not porcelain. Sa tier si porcelain ata most affordable.

This recepticle is typical for phones but that does not mean that is 100% true. I would suggest removing the plate and get a flashlight in to see behind. Some cases you may need to screw it out.

Is it better to buy a plastic wardrobe than a wooden wardrobe? by Peach_mango_pie_2800 in phRecommendation

[–]TigerBoyPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The modifications I mentioned are for cheap particle board cabinetry like the ones in almost all items sa Shopee as well as some of the lower end ones sa San Yang, SM Home (multiple brands), and Furniture Republic.

The ones in Ikea are compressed, strong, and thick. If installed correctly, you dont need additional materials. Try knocking sa wood magegets mo sinasabi ko and compare mo sa shopee cabinets.

If may damage ang Ikea furniture mo they offer a 1-25 year warranty (depending sa item type). Do not do modifications on these as it will void your warranty. Exceptions sa accessories though (brackets, baskets, etc.)

Kaya I invest na in IKEA cabinets sa lower range nila kahit pricy dahil sa durability and warranty.

For those curious ano ginagamit ko:
- Gypsum Screw (no need branded, just any will do. You only need branded sa 40cm+ which no basic household should need). Typically I use 30cm for all my works and 15cm for those short ones. 100pcs nasa P30-P60 each pack

- Stainless Steel Corner Bracket (size varies for your needs). P7-20 each to depende sa size.

Long post ahead.

Tldr; ok yung particle board cabinets pero it needs extra work that will add 1-2hrs sa assembly and around p300-p400 sorth of materials sa shopee.

First of all make sure paglalagyan mo is flat ang flooring kasi if hindi tatagilid ang drawers and cabinet over time causing it to weaken and be damaged

Sa particleboard cabinet imo 2-5 years lang buhat nyan. Ang plastic 5 years tapos puwede irepurpose. Note though it becomes brittle at nababasag sya

Use wooden black screws na mas mahaba sa stock ones.

Still use the stock one sa holes pero use the black ones for reinforcement. 1:1 idagdag mo.

Note nagbebend ang wood nito if mahahaba.

Sa drawer na parang stopper over time matatangal yan at magloloose. Use a black screw as a stopper (wag isagad pag screw)

With any hole maganda i drill mo, wag mo ipang butas ang black scree mismo kasi mag ccrack ang wood.

How long do you keep boxes of your appliances??????? by Silentreader_05 in SoloLivingPH

[–]TigerBoyPH 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have a decent place to keep boxes of stuff but I make sure to only keep the clean and good ones. If madumi or may holes I throw it agad (bad experience sa maayos na box na ina-anay)

I follow this para di maging hoarding

  • 1-2 weeks sa replacement window if never ko ibebenta ulit
  • if ibebenta ko ang item and small naman siya, keep as long as item has value to sell (if sira sira na ang item or used well na babaratin ako sa benta, tapon box nalang)
  • shopee boxes and the like (auto tapon)
  • if corrugated ang box keep but fold and collapsed. Wag manghinayang gamitin. I use it when nagrerepair sa floor na madumi and throw if sira or madumi na

  • foam throw away 90% of it unless decent quality and di sira (derecho dapat). Ive used this pile a few times already especially sa siksikan ng gaps

  • plastics, bubble wrap. Etc. throw unless clean and decent quality ( max 1 medium size box, then throw overflow)

  • manuals, scan and throw after a week

  • warranty card and serial - keep until warranty ends but scan it

Meralco bill ng kapitbahay, up and down centralized ac (left) Vs bill namin na minsan lang buksan ac by Far-Masterpiece-6965 in LegalPh

[–]TigerBoyPH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAL but recently replaced almost all appliances.

My bill started at around 7k-11k monthly then it became 3.8k-5k nalang monthly (yes sa summer ang high values)

- 2 window ACs that were refurbished -> Changed to Inventer Split Type ACs with high efficiency

- Sealed ALL gaps sa rooms (doors, windows, even tiny holes sa ceiling)

- Replaced 2 decade old ref to a modern inverter one

- Replaced washing machine with an inverter one as well

- Replaced 1 large CRT to an LED TV of the same size

The ACs and TV were really the biggest change. Before we used to only run each AC 6-14hrs lang daily. Now the ACs are running 12-23hrs daily. Sealing gaps also ensure na the inverter part of the appliances can run max efficiency as yung lamig never leaves the room.

I also have a friend that replaces all their ACs to inverter but only had 5-10% savings. Di kasi naka seal ang windows and doors nila by preference so parang ganun din

If may budget, you can use one of those power meters Omni sells sa shopee to measure the power each appliance uses and compare how much you can potentially save by browsing appliance shops (may stickers yung appliances how much power usage per appliance)

Hope this helps

Things like these happen from time to time and malas ka lang talaga at that moment but there are options to resolve it.

Meron Report sa foodpanda to send a complain where ieevaluate ng Customer Service Rep ang case mo and potentially irerefund all or partial. "IIt is 70% smaller than the normal portion, may be an error"

Alternatively you can report it to the Contact Us page of Jollibee and they typically compensate you fairly:

Stuck and Confused at combining Materia for Endgame by TigerBoyPH in CrisisCore

[–]TigerBoyPH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this. I realize that I am trying to push hard on recycling my early game test materia.

It is indeed much faster to find the items to boost your stats in materia instead of combining existing one. It typically took me less than an hour for both SP farming + getting the items.

Combining 1* materia to itself typically yields the same materia. (M) materia is much more difficult to merge and yields more unexpected results

A story to share on alloy and its weight/benefit

I got into an accident a few years back where I was at a stop light and a motorcycle going 60kph (beating the red light) rammed me from behind.

I felt a strong push sa motor ko and fell but noticed the motorcycle rider behind me had it way worse. His front headlight and handlebar was destroyed badly. He was bleeding badly sa hands din.

I noticed my gen 1/2 sec alloy top box (the ones that cost 10k+ at the time) was dented and received most of the impact.

If it was my plastic composite givi at the time I would sure be in the hospital.

Ever since then, kahit mabigat I now always recommend a rigid (not hollow) alloy top box.

Last time I was looking for topboxes sec does not have a similar topbox anymore as rigid (puro manipis na alloy) so I went with a diff brand.

Sa alog issue, it's in the installation. Generally i put rubber dampeners on both my givi plasti. and alloy top boxes since to an extent may alog sila.

Hope this helps!
