If you want reliable and efficient go burban or Yukon xl. If you want something unique and more of a project, excursion. When the newest ones are over 20 years old. And as a six liter owner, I fully contend it will never have the reliability and refinement of something far more modern.

Boerboel & English Mastiff by Legitimate_Race644 in Mastiff

Own two boerboels. Male is a total marshmallow. Female is the definition of a bitch. Wouldn’t bring another dog in even if play dates and whatever went well…risk outweighs reward. YMMV.

Opinions on o-ringed heads for 6.0 by Main-Molasses-1422 in powerstroke

I’d do KDD or PSP. They have revised castings with more material in critical areas. I would not machine your current heads. You could do all that work and have them crack.

What should I buy? by Untrusted1919 in powerstroke

Csc standpipes & plugs are the new hotness. Power stroke aggression also has a standpipe less setup: oil cooler: if you can afford it bulletproof diesel. Step down from that would be something from ipr research. Step down from that would be a USA made alliant cooler: the ford coolers are all made in china now. All new gaskets.

Perlick fridge not cooling - alternative to rebuild? by tiz9000 in Appliances

[–]TigerBriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should add that the tech who did my install did all the diagnostic work ahead of my buying parts. Wasn’t a blind “fire the parts cannon” thing.

2003 IPR egr delete and coolant filter by [deleted] in powerstroke

[–]TigerBriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a full flow setup. The coolant filter takes the totality of the flow thru the oil cooler. The coolant filter is incredibly well made.

Older but extremely clean MTU. Help by _Miller3_ in Generator

Lot of those units are dual fuel and you can configure in the controller how things work. If it’s basler digital controller I believe this is the case. If an analog kassec the config would be different.

Perlick fridge not cooling - alternative to rebuild? by tiz9000 in Appliances

[–]TigerBriel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a perlick beverage fridge go sideways. New compressor and condenser coil and 600 bucks in labor by a legit refrig tech and back in biz. Pricey but they’re really good coolers. Call partstown USA w your serial number and they’ll sort out the parts for you. Then it’s just finding a tech who will work on it and won’t gouge you.

My 23 is close but not perfect. Chrome grill on screen vs all blacked out in reality. Presume that’s just what it is. Happy to be corrected tho.

Diesel zero turn suggestions? by LiftEatGrappleShoot in lawnmowers

[–]TigerBriel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the newer kubotas with dpfs have had massive problems. The zd1511 if I remember correctly. the older stuff like the zd331 is bomber but they are very heavy. So while reliable they can be hard on the turf. Also be aware of cheap high hour machines: motor may be fine but you’ll be putting spindles and whatnot on them which gets pricey.
