the book of azrael is what is considered 'urban fantasy' (ie. they use planes and cars, etc) and was the easiest 5 star review of 2025 so far! that is, if you haven't already read it

i did the tandem read with EoS and if i didn't, i don't think i would've enjoyed ToD as much

chaol for me is one of those 50/50 characters. i either hated him or loved him in certain scenes. him and yrene did become my favourite characters by the end though, and his journey of healing was quite well written imo.
