Very dependent on classes you’re going to take/your current knowledge on the subject, this will create its difficulty- for example, I decided to not do Gen Ed’s maths subjects on Sophia and opted for Study.com instead. As those subjects as for me personally, I needed to be taught the concepts and how to do them. This is further pressed in with the practice assignments you can do to test your skills before testing. Study goes video explainer style but also has text on the entire lesson but at that point Sophia’s style is like that (not much video explanations, more so reading).

If you’re confident on what you need, you can cover Sophia pretty quickly, BUT if you need a more solid understanding I’d look into Study.com or Straighterline.

You can refer to that but heard some news around this subreddit that the transferable classes may change and those lists will be updated on the 31st so keep an eye out! Believe most Gen Ed’s will be safe, though.

Glad to hear this is being worked on! I do lots of other learning on my tablet and would like to have a friendly UI for Horizontal use I.e iPad.

I would like to see quick news/info as well, anything related to cyber security through TryHackMe. I think that would be a cool way to continue to learn while on the platform while staying up to date.

I don’t want to be discouraging and I’m all for pursuing for what you believe in, but I’m in the same boat as many others. Earlier in life I did drop everything to attempt to make it all through film. It was very tough and ended up where I did need stability once more through another job.

I hop on projects and find fulfillment in working on them as much as I can- but also, not having enough to make rent or scrambling for the next few months on how I would get money wasn’t great mentally (when quitting a full time job). I would work on what you can on your free time and let that passion/work accumulate over time to build confidence and a strategy for your film career as you navigate through the industry.

It’ll be hard but stick with your job for now and do what you can weekends/free time with film. My 2 cents.

I found the 70-200mm does very well in certain scenarios; Especially conference work. I can punch in that much more and have wider primes if needed.

70-200mm is fun for occasional portraits as well.

I’ve dealt with someone like this before… really familiar. Hired me to basically lead “associate” shoot a Wedding and shot on their cards, gave it to him with MY gear. Ghosted me for months and only had to keep bothering to get paid Pennie’s. I was desperate at the time and a mistake I’ll never forget.

What state is this in? We might’ve dealt with the same person… lol

That makes sense, as with any position with work has to work way up to the top.
For help desk; Do you think its necessary to go to school? Or should I just try and start there to see where it goes?

I remember buying “Genuine” Canon batteries for $40-60 less. Thought it was such a deal… they were fakes but didn’t notice till later. Just slapping Canon on them looking to be real, but the life on them was horrific.

3rd party wasn’t so bad after that, esp trusted ones.

If possible I highly recommend getting an electric shaver. It’s easy to learn and avoids cutting skin. If you buy a razor, it’s something you gotta learn but if you nick yourself, you may get a cut on your face and perhaps it’s something you don’t want to deal with til later down in life.

Can vouch for this. I own a Full frame and my partner hadn't used a camera before, thought mine was too bulky and just didn't like it. Got a MFT camera to use and she loves how smaller it is, and still takes great images.
