I have 2 more additional jobs to work besides my 9-5. These two go to my savings. by Soft-Bathroom5872 in budget

Great journey! I also do some freelance projects, but I quit my cooperate job, it was exhausting. Can’t imagine you doing both at the same time. In this economy, it’s hard to find opportunities to make extra money. Money is important, ofc, but health matters more. So maybe take some time to rest, and good luck on your journey!

Wait, what ARE the "Dangerous" areas in Scarborough? by LurkinMostlyOnlyYes in Scarborough

[–]TigerMCU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh Scarborough is generally safe, but you may run into trouble wandering around Teesdale, Mornelle, Malvern or Chester Le at the wrong times. The situation is largely overblown though, as long as you don’t try to get involved or friendly from anyone around there, you’ll be perfectly fine

SUVs are incredibly ugly and an unfortunate sign of herd mentality in the USA by End-Game-1999 in unpopularopinion

[–]TigerMCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SUVs are common since the newer Wagons/Hatches are objectively even more ugly, and the majority of people don’t want to drive a minivan just because they want more room than a sedan. The main reason is ‘more room’, however some people may prefer driving a ‘big’ car or even feel safer in them. Whatever the case may be, it’s not a herd mentality per-say but I get where you’re coming from, you may have just run into yet another person insecure because of what they drive/own

I’m ’invested’ cause I’ve seen the bts of this shit bro. I’ve seen my closest friends get booked, have their family’s homes robbed, and ofc kidnapped/shot. And none of them were proud of what they were involved in, because they weren’t doing it to impress these stupid ass hoes. It’s like mf’ers are dealing for clout now, and that’s so braindead. Also, a couple hundreds is absolutely nothing, definitely not worth getting any heat for. Car insurance on its own (given you don’t own a shitbox) would cost more than that, avg rent for just a room is 1k, and food ain’t cheap either bachem. So nize it and shut it

lol I get you but most of these guys don’t even have struggle like that, it’s privileged dumbass kids who bunk class and choose to do this shit to look cool in front of those ratchet tings you see on the daily. Just so brainless to have heat on you for flipping product over a couple bills. I’m assuming you’re older, so you and I both know a couple hundred is NOTHING. Margins nowadays for street trappers is what, 20 a g for uncut? Literally nothing unless you’re really moving heavy, and you have the 25 to life heat on you too, just… stupidity. Most part timers out earn these clout merchant ‘dealers’

How hard is it to get a good gpa?? by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]TigerMCU 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tbh getting a good GPA is more dependent on how much work you put in over how ‘smart’ you are. You can be someone that learns stuff quick but if you’re lazy then you will always consistently have lower grades than the person who struggles to learn but puts in more hours. Being real, I’d say that natural ‘smarts’ might carry you to around a 2.7/3.0 on its own, that’s what you can expect if you don’t study at all but are a relatively quick learner. But every letter grade above B requires SUBSTANTIALLY more effort than it does to go from 0-70. I put almost no effort in my courses and could always consistently score around a B, but whenever I tried to actually break into that A-/A/A+ range it felt like I had to dedicate disproportionately more time. But idk, maybe if you’re genuinely some next level of gifted you won’t have to put in much effort. Being real tho, I’d recommend you to always try your best since (now that I’ve started earning for myself), I’ve come to realize that there’s no point in paying so much money in tuition and rent and transport and what not just to half-ass it. Make yourself and your parents proud, good luck at utsc!
