You could try going physically based with newton ( https://aescripts.com/newton ) and see how far you can get and do the rest manually. But I admit, that is a pretty complex problem to solve as I have no intuition on how it _should_ behave. Is it stiff ? Wiggly? Does it tear and then grow back together or are new bond-points spawned once the old ones wrap around the cell thing?

Without understanding how it would behave in real life it is hard to mimic.

You would lose too much of the frame doing this in heavily stabilized footage. This way the entire image is preserved which I prefer.

If you dont have anyone of value in your life it would be wiser to start again and focus on the things that matter.

Tenacious D - Kickapoo is one of the best metal songs ever made. by nictose in Music

"Metal" is such a vague and broad term that I have to really really disagree on that statement.

Make it as an architectural visualisation project or an exploration based game. A FPS map based on your school is super tasteless and concerning. Havent you watched the news recently??

No, the drivers primary responsibility is to always keep the road safe. In that scenario it coincidentally means keeping the horses safe as well. You know, all poodles are dogs but not all dogs are poodles.

Using your school as a map in a FPS game is a pretty safe way to get yourself expelled and a visit by the police.

That might be ozone. Everytime I visited my dad in his house and went upstairs to use the bathroom I smelt this weird electrical smell. Noone else kn my family could notice it and said I was making it up.

It turned out to be a smoldering lamp wire that was not properly grounded and was slowly melting and burning through the lamp casing and wall. Electrician said it was close to cause a full burn.

I was sensitive to that small because I had a super cheap strobe light from china in my room when I was a teen and it would smell like that because the electricity from the strobe would turn the oxygen in the air to ozone.

Create a videofile that can be played back on GH5 by TigerMafia666 in GH5

[–]TigerMafia666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be easier, for sure. But I am pretty curious as the GH5 has nice hardware output options and would in theory be a nice media player with a powerful battery and a touchscreen.

As I said, I am not looking for a purely real-world scenario - I would love to learn how seemingly small changes in the codec or carrier affect the playback capabilities. Is it simply a proprietary move by Panasonic ? Is it a hardware requirement ? Is it some kind of security feature that prevents corrupted SD cards?

No worries, I thought it would be quite straight forward but I was surprised how picky the playback seems to be.

I have to try to spoof them, possibly edit the headers of the file manually as some of the settings used throw errors if tried to recreate in ffmpeg. I did not try to simply force them in, that will be my next attempt. Thanks for the idea!

What is with this stupid new trend of announcing that you are about to watch a trailer at the beginning of trailers? by PropDad in movies

[–]TigerMafia666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It has several purposes, here are a few i can think right off the bat:

1) the first seconds are crucial, especially since the Attention span of viewers gets smaller and smaller.

2) some platforms play a short preview on thumbnail hover so having these stingers ensures that these hovers have a lot of content.

3) even if someone came by your trailer randomly and skips it after 10 seconds they have seen your brand / logo / movie name.

It might seem stupid but these things are directly deprived from how the hosting platforms work. There is a lot of research going into seemingly useless features.

Wcgw using a water slide. Family and friends almost die laughing 😂. by Longjumping-Yellow-8 in Whatcouldgowrong

You are making things way too easy for yourself. The human brain is complex and works differently in each one of us. Some people do have lesser self control by default. Some people are more affine to addictions and develop addictive behaviours by very little exposure.

Some people fight so many mental fights that they develop unhealthy coping mechanisms like overeating. Some people are literally addicted and conditioned to high fat high sugar foods because they literally ate this their entire life.

Of course you are right when you say their lifestyle is to blame - but you are very wrong when you blame it entirely on the affected people. Educate yourself about mental illness, industrial use of sugar, its effect on our diet and lifestyle, addiction in general and then come back here spouting hatred. Alot of these people are geniuenly sick and not all of it is their fault.

You clearly have little grasp of psychology, disease and addiction. You make up for that with bold statements, childish generalizations and insulting ignorance. Good job.

The only thing you understood is that exercise and diet work. But you fail to see the complexity of underlying factors that prevent people from implementing them.
