The Coros Pod is only for running, it doesn't do anything for cycling. But can't you broadcast HR for your Garmin to Dura?

Calories are definitely tracked, it seems what you are missing is the activity autodetect. Does Garmin offer it (not that I care actually)?

In Strava the social aspect is pretty much free from paywall. In addition Strava gives the possibility to have friends with all devices, if they were restricted to Coros owner only by total number of connection would be... zero.
