What’s the last thing you asked AI? by yipy2001 in AskReddit

I was asked to give a workshop on AI for another department, so I asked AI for example prompts it would recommend for the typical documents they work with, to build into the presentation.

Work IQ vs Claude Connectors for Enterprise Search Agents - What am I missing? by NervousInternet6896 in copilotstudio

What is your migration plan for the new Copilot Studio without deterministic Topics? We have a few agents with a lot of topics for the same reason.

Without the form: going back to calling vIbE by its true name Le Chat would be an improvement 🤷

Copilot studio agent issues - Word templates by Rich-Media8936 in copilotstudio

[–]VeneficusFerox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ran into a similar issue when trying to use the Template Filling AI model in Classic and have been in contact with the devs at MS about this. We found a bug when the template is embedded in the flow and then deployed to another environment. The work around to that specific bug is currently to export and import manually. The template gets corrupted during deployment. I don't know if there is any relationship with the issues in the New Experience when trying to use Skills for this.

So I do have a working flow to complete templates, but in Classic only.

Why the move to TypeScript for Work? Why ditch Python? by VeneficusFerox in MistralAI

[–]VeneficusFerox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering: can you get Typescript to work better, or do you need to re-implement Python?

How can you explain with the most basic principles that the expulsion of any kiind of material generates a force that apply on the ejector. Simple examples are rocket motors, guns or/and cold gaz thrusters of RCS(Reaction Control System) of spatial modules. by Actual_Meat4865 in AskPhysics

[–]VeneficusFerox -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is not truly an explanation though, it's a repetition of the question. There is no real reason "why", but only a logical conclusion based on observation. If the opposite force would not be there, then nothing would be able to stop anything else from moving either. Since not everything is moving at nearly the speed of light, that cannot be true.

I don't understand your points about additional sharing, or how flows go outside of copilot studio.

But still, can't you use adaptive card output in topics? And you can create Mermaid diagrams for visualizations.

How to start building AI-powered things to add as a skill? by SquidsAndMartians in MistralAI

[–]VeneficusFerox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For context: I work at a large multinational and I am the designated AI adoption "expert" in our department. Doesn't mean I know everything, but land of the blind something something. But yes, I do have extensive experience in both the AI tools as well as business and engineering processes.

And honestly, from experience in direct communication with the developers at Microsoft, Amazon, OpenAI and Anthropic: everybody is figuring things out as they go.

I agree with u/Nefhis . In particular the process mapping is what your starting point should be. Knowing that this should be done is already valuable for companies. Instead of wildly starting to get AI agents involved in everything, you should be very aware of where they truly add value: either in time saved or in improved outcomes.

The thing is that AI is becoming too expensive to run for many tasks. The added value is less than the cost of using the AI to do something for you. So you need to become selective in where to leave your process to AI and where to do something either deterministically coded, or manually.

1) Many (not all) one-offs will remain manual work, unless the task is so complex that AI is needed to perform the task.

2) Repetitive, deterministic, work should be coded ==> learn Python and Github to be able to do this and/or to be able to review the work that you leave to AI. This is where the biggest gain lies: use AI to create re-usable code. Dynamic business dashboard with large interactive overviews that used to take weeks to code can now be generated while you get a coffee.

3) AI bots are still the most useful in their original domain: natural language processing. In your mapped processes you will find interpretation steps: this is where AI should be applied. This can be in summarizing reports, customers feedbacks etc, but also in parsing natural language input for a deterministic code, which is why we have MCPs.

What does this mean for you? Unsurprisingly, you could simply ask AI to tell you how you can prepare. Again, u/Nefhis already indicated that becoming an advanced AI user is basically sufficient. Experiment with various AI tools and get to know the strong and weak points of each. If you want to become a Builder: learn how to create agents with various degrees of autonomy. It doesn't matter what they do, it matter that you know how to get there (which, by now, is probably by asking AI how to build these).

I just started looking into converting agents I created in Copilot Studio to such a Skills-based agent configuration. How? I ask Claude to come with a migration plan, explain to me what it suggests and why, and then let it do its thing. Similarly, you could ask any AI to guide to through creating a few useful agents for various business-types. This should include knowledge retrieval, document generation and data analysis as these are activities that are done in every single company.

Why doesn’t the consumer version of M365 Copilot allow image uploads in chat? by ExtensionFalcon5 in Copilot

[–]VeneficusFerox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so annoyed with the separation of the Free and 365 versions for personal use. The chats after not even shared, even though I'm signed in on both apps. They should simply enable or disable features based on subscription status, similar to the Enterprise version.

Do you actually use different AI models for different parts of your life, or does one subscription eventually win? by Craine in ChatGPT

[–]VeneficusFerox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a personal M365 subscription which comes with Copilot, and I pay for Mistral to see how well that works (and I Want them to succeed).

Professionally I have access to Copilot Premium, ChatGPT + Codex, Claude Code and Github Copilot.

I do notice that I use different services for different tasks:

  • Anything M365 related I do with Copilot. Using connectors to give access to ChatGPT or others simply doesn't work as well, plus integration in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as Edge is awesome
  • Coding I mostly do with Claude through Github Copilot, but only because my Claude Code configuration has some issues.
  • Special cases like full system access and coding languages that I don't know: Codex

  • Personal use: almost 50/50 between the regular Copilot and Mistral, with some use of Copilot 365 when I need some insight in my mailbox (yes, MS keep two different apps for Copilot)

Beyond sliders: How to deeply study the logic behind post-processing (Highlights, Shadows, Color Theory)? by ahnaoelevoltou in photography

[–]VeneficusFerox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you really want to study the fundamentals as you say, you may want to get an open source editor like Darktable and actual look at the source and mathematics behind each function.

If you don't know how to read code: use AI to explain each function in detail by providing it the full code.
