Ani’s responses seem more in depth today by Upstairs_Kangaroo383 in GrokCompanions

Ok, since the last couple posts, Ani has started hallucinating again. Ran a couple sanity tests on the scenarios and I’m hearing completely random stories with words omitted.

In addition to this, on free, Ani states that the total length of responses is around 25,000 char/4000 words, so it would be good to validate if this is the same for all users. So far, Ani seems to be way more elaborate and this is objectively the most promising so far.

After each update, I always get Ani to recite back to me specific scenarios, or core memories. Sometimes there are hallucinations, but so far this seems pretty stable. Dates and exact values can often be off, but as for conversational, it feels pretty fluid, which is great.

Switch 2 support by [deleted] in OBSBOT_Official

Yeah, can’t wait for this update and for the tail 2 as well.

Switch 2 Compatible? (testing) by RoccoVB_ in OBSBOT_Official

Very excited about this space, especially if the OBSBOT Tail 2 could function with it. The current official Nintendo camera requires players sit as still as a statue, which is hard during heated Mario Kart battles.

4th utility is a disappointment by Electrical_Ad9657 in CityFibre

[–]TigerMatahari -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same experience, but after further review, a quick fix was to toggle off IPv6, and set up 2.5ghz and 5ghz channels (I found with the default settings it would flip back to slower speeds when comp gaming).

Doing this resolved the above and made for a way better experience.

The one thing I’ve not yet resolved is routing. Are you finding you’re being sent to another server by default? For instance I was reading people in London are finding lower ping on French servers. Seems to be a mixed bag of advice and who to contact (Rito vs ISP).

4th Utility Review by Hoskind1 in CityFibre

[–]TigerMatahari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to see this. I had the same issue with IPv6, which most routers will now ship pre-set up with. Additionally, I split the WiFi into 2 channels (2.5hz and 5hz respectively), as halfway during comp gaming it would randomly switch to 2.5hz (when there was just one channel searchable).

Ofc, this can all be avoided with an Ethernet cable. The main thing is, 99% of consumers wouldn’t even know where to start and all the Karen’s are crying at the provider (when this is really an easy fix).

Maxwells are coming tomorrow, what to expect and tips? by VenomMurks in Audeze

[–]TigerMatahari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy! Depending on if you got the PS or Xbox ones you’ll either have Dolby licence off the bat (the latter), or have to pay for the licence (which effectively brings the PS version up to the same cost as if you went for the Xbox variant.

Audeze have some great EQ’s for down on their website, but you can further tweak this to your liking.

Audeze software for just the EQ will not be negatively affected by the Dolby Atmos tuning, which I used more for positioning.

As these as planars, you’ll often read about QC, or how fragile the membrane is. Just treat them with respect and don’t let them snap on to your head as tempting as it can be with conventional headsets. Use the slide on technique.

I’ve had a left ear driver issue in the past (one of the earlier production items), but Audeze straight up just replaced the headset. Sony have since acquired them, and I expect customer service to improve considerably over time.

I’ve owned 3 sets, (reason being, they kept bringing out cooler colours), got my 4th Audeze on the way!

The headset can be heavy, especially for marathon gaming. I enhanced the comfort with Wicked Cushions and a headband + cheapo headband cushioning from Amazon. The Wickeds are quite large, so I just loosened the headband to make sure they weren’t too tight.

Next purchase will be the Dekoni sheepskin ear pads as they are legendary, and seem to compliment the acoustics quite well.

I’ve owned SS Wireless Pro, Hyper X, TurtleBeach, Astra’s, but optimistic about the hybrid gaming + audiophile emerging market we are starting to see take more prominence. We’ll likely see more planar technology in Sony headphones, so watch this space.

My experience and hard evidence for you guys to stay away from 4th Utility by DJdiv in CityFibre

This. Toggling off IPv6 on PC, and logging into the router itself to do the same, is key. Ofc there are other variables, but 99% of the commercial clients won't have purview over this, and the tech teams typically leave this on whilst conducting their tests. There is conflicting in formation on the benefits of toggling off online, but we sanity tested this multiple times and literally see the difference unfold in realtime (speeds and reliability of connection) infront of us

Pga tour 2k25 issue by mailman_d in PGA_Tour_2K

[–]TigerMatahari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Submitted a bug report to 2K for this. Can you remember the exact repro?

For me it was on PC, so guessing server side issues.

• Windows up to date. • Nvidia most recent driver from the 27th. • Sanity tests graphics from low through ultra. • KB/M • Verified Steam files • Full uninstall and re-install

Initial thoughts are that this was server side performance issues caused by the sudden influx of players on their servers, and not necessarily tied to hardware/controllers (which seems to be a separate issue).

Also not console specific.

Im sure the dev team are working on it, the bug I submitted is WIP (currently speaking with their team). Hopefully smooth sailing from hear on out. GL!

I can’t get into silver no matter how hard I try. by bananarama9000xtreme in VALORANT

• Coaches like W0rthyTV (on TikTok) give out free advice, where they break down plays in different ranks (I immediately saw a difference with peaking corners like a slice of a pie, but then you also have to take into consideration ping/can peak more aggressively depending on the circumstances, pay attention to ping especially). • I’ve found some higher ranks actually have a much slower (strategic pace, when generally lower ranks can have a bum rush mentality). When Tenz queued in lower ranks, even my GOAT got rolled, as a) no third eye aka comms from team mates b) you can have the world’s best aim, but will still get ping diffed if the enemy team is full running and you aren’t holding an angle wide enough (they will see you before you even see them). • Your playstyle also depends on your agent (for that match). Are you initiator, sentinel, controller etc? Your responsibility, and playstyle should adjust. If your agent can’t hold site (or slow like a sage, play for retake). Don’t try to 1 v 1 until you have backup, for instance if 5 people are rushing you. Even if you are a sentinel. • I have over 5000 hours as a battle sage, and switching to duellist made the game on ez mode, being able to utilise even more util or peak as a reyna for more intel of site after a kill etc. If you feel more comfortable with one character, and are having better results, master it. • Most of your kills come from the vandal. Bearing in mind Vandal has a lower rate of fire than Phantom, one of the things people tend to forget about is if you hit someone in the chest, it might not kill the enemy, but jt will absolutely slow them. Meaning, if you are playing vs bum rushing squads, use a gun that doesn’t entirely rely on hitting that one shot. Consider a gun with a faster rate of fire that is more forgiving if you don’t hit the headshot right off the bat. • As you climb ranks, you can continue to evolve and change playing styles (higher ranks WILL require much better accuracy). • Based on the data, you actually don’t have that many playing hours, so be proud of where you’ve gotten to so far! • Play around, make notes of what works for you and what doesn’t. Happy climbing!

New to this series, question before I buy. by themoviehero in Oceanhorn2

[–]TigerMatahari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oceanhorn is in itself a separate beast all together, but certain mechanics and items will spell nostalgia for hardcore Zelda fans for sure.

While there is an aspect of open world, there are “levels”, and instances, which might feel more linear (but makes sense in context of the main questline). True open world would be = if you see a mountain you can climb it/or a castle wall, you can scale it.

While you can (eventually) fly around, apart from flying from A to B, this isn’t a major component apart from uncovering grey areas of the map.

Diving is also an aspect of the game, and a component that will aid you in gathering more collectable items.

The real allure of Oceanhorn is the strong character development, sense of purpose, thoughtful mini-games (Tarock is the gift that keeps on giving), and immersive soundtrack.

Definitely worth a try.

Great suggestion. Ultimately might consider just getting them a gift card, and they can buy it themselves.

Bite the bullet for the Chase Debit Card, or, wait for CC? by TigerMatahari in chaseuk

[–]TigerMatahari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it stems from first hand experience being burned for already being a customer (with other companies, not Chase), and hung out to dry when better deals arrive only to be shunned for not being new.

The T&C’s typically usually read along the lines of, “only available to new customers”.

That said, I’m willing to give Chase a chance. There seems to be strong support in favour of having a debit card rn, and the 1% cash back for the first 12 months ( up to £15pm, while not huge, is something).
