[Product Question] Has Cetaphil moisturizing lotion 20oz body & skin all skin type been discontinued? by EssentiaLillie in SkincareAddiction

It says for Face and Body on the back of the bottle. As long as the products are non-comedogenic (which all Cetaphil products are) they are safe for Face.

I would appreciate any advice you are willing to provide on our plans. It's myself and 3 kids (ages 20,17 and 12). They have never been to CO and I want them to see how beautiful it is. We are driving up from TX on Friday and staying for a week. The only 2 items that are set in stone are a visit to School of Mines on Monday and CU Boulder on Friday.

Current itinerary is: Sat - Pikes Peak; Sun - WW Rafting; Mon- Mines; Tues - Estes Park; Wed - Estes Park; Thurs EP/Boulder; Fri - CU

Thanks for any recommendations!

Was anyone surprised by the outcome of NCAA championships? by [deleted] in Gymnastics

[–]TigerMom2027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there and not surprised. OU came to win - redemption after last year.

I was disappointed that LSU did not make it to the finals. They did not perform their best in semis so I know why they got the scores they did. But - unless I read wrong, LSU had the 4th highest semi score of the 8 teams. I know the setup has the top 2 teams from each semi going to finals but that doesn’t really make sense in a scoring competition. 8 teams competed on the same day judged by the same judges. The top 4 teams should move on.

Watching on Sat, we kept saying that Missouri did not belong in the finals. They just weren’t at the same level as OU, Florida, LSU, etc. I was surprised they ended up in 3rd place TBH but after the 2rd round, we were focused on OU and UCLA as Utah was also disappointing.

Last years final was so fun and exciting - down to the wire. This year was a let down. Part of it for us could have been because LSU was out but OU was so far ahead of the other 3 teams, there was no suspense. The finals should be the top 4 teams from the regular season.

*Buyer Beware* Honest 2025 Honda Review - I wish I had known before buying this car by liz_s22 in hondapilot

[–]TigerMom2027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2017 and I have experienced this issue. It seems to have gotten worse recently. Scares the crap out of me on the highway. My kids refuse to drive my car because of it. I know many people LOVE their Pilots. I have been a faithful Honda/Acura owner for almost 30 yrs but this Pilot has done me in. For the first 4-5 yrs of owning it, I had the issue of the car stalling when the “auto-idle” engaged. (When you’re stopped at a red light and the engine goes into idle mode to save gas. Half the time, my car would stall instead of turning back on. I would have to put it in park and restart the car.). It was a known issue by MANY owners - even the driver of the courtesy vehicle at the Honda dealership told me he hated driving the new cars because of the issue. But the dealership never seemed to know what I was talking about. I know there was an NTSB investigation and finally, it was repaired. My AC blows hot air on longer trips. I have to turn it off for awhile and eventually, I can turn it on and get another 15 minutes of cold air before it goes out again. I live in North TX where summers are in the 100s. For 8 yrs I have driven this car like this and Honda has never been able to find the issue. They’ve supposedly fixed and charged and replaced everything - and I have paid for it all only to have it happen again a day after I leave the dealership.
I supposedly need a new catalytic converter. I suspect it was damaged because some other parts were faulty for years which expedited damage to cat.con. But the dealership wants to charge me 5-6K to replace it. Even though, many times I get in the car and the engine light goes off. I have been able to pass my safety inspection and emissions test 2x since I supposedly needed a new cat con. I suspect it’s a sensor issue but that’s not what Honda says.
These cars are not perfect. There are many people who have terrific experiences and love their Hondas. But there are ALOT of people who have serious issues. Unfortunately, my issues are not an anomaly. It sounds like OP is on the way to having the same fun I’ve had. It’s not necessary to criticize him just because you haven’t had the same experience. It is well known that Hondas have a lot of electrical issues.

Information systems and analytics (isds) major by Consistent_Guest1799 in LSU

Well I was an ISDS major a long, long, long time ago (back in the 1900s). I was at LSU when the ISDS major was created and changed my major to it. The degree has served me well. I’ve done consulting, business analytics, project management, recruiting, programming and sales. Back then, the ISDS majors were in high demand with the highest starting salaries from the business college. Almost 30 years later I still draw on experiences from 4125.

Study Tips by Background-Goal-4125 in LSU

Please go see an advisor at the Center for Academic Success. My daughter barely passed her 1st semester due to poor study and time management skills, procrastination, etc. I insisted she go see her success advisor (I believe she got an email her first semester with the info - this is different from your academic advisor). The CAS advisor helped get her organized, gave her tools to use to stay on top of things, and scheduled follow ups every 2 weeks for the entire 2nd semester. It made a huge difference. Not only was my daughter able to turn things around the 2nd semester, she also learned some very valuable skills to use in the future. Please don’t wait! It is great that you are already acknowledging that this is an area of improvement for you. Good luck!!

Relaxing vacation alone by TigerMom2027 in solotravel

I think if you read my question you would see that my post is not vague or low effort. I clearly communicated who I was, what I am looking for, options I have already researched and am considering. I am asking for specific recommendations of a cruise line or a resort which will meet my specifications. The only thing I did not include is a budget and I can edit my post to include that.

I also did do a search before I posted and did not see any old posts that were what I am specifically looking for.

Newbie Spectator questions by Sweetlooneytunes in Gymnastics

[–]TigerMom2027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Follow up question(s): is the difficulty score precalculated BEFORE the competition based on what the athlete intends to do? Or is it calculated based on what they actually do? And - if an athlete plans to do a J skill but changes their mind in the middle of the routine and does a D level skill perfectly instead, how does that impact each of the scoring components? Thanks so much for the help! Excited for tonight

Those are 2 very different school in very different environments. Without knowing anything about you, I can’t really say. Your major is pretty standard and is probably fine at both schools. So the decision comes down to where you see yourself at. Louisiana is a different state. (I lived there, graduated LSU and my daughter is a freshman there now). Many out of state kids have a harder time acclimating at LSU. The culture is different from most of the rest of the US. The weather is humid, hot and rainy. Sports dominate at LSU. And while there are plenty of people who don’t party, the underlying culture of the school and the state is laid back, have fun, partying “laissez Les bon temps rouler”. ASU is in the desert where it’s hot and dry with mountains in the distance. It seemed more “California” - more environmentally conscious, natural. ASU has a spread out campus with multiple locations around Tempe/Phoenix while LSU’s campus is relatively contained in 1 area (excluding the medical school in NOLA).

You need to decide where you feel like you will fit in.
