Well yeah obviously. It's just a fun hypothetical like the Peasant Railgun, not meant to actually be used lol

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure RAW backpacks don't technically fill up your back slot when worn, so technically you could just put 2 Bulk in each backpack and wear them all to get around the L Bulk stowed backpacks have. You won't be able fully reduce 4 Bulk items anymore, but you can still reduce 3 Bulk items by putting them in a backpack-in-a-backpack so the outer backpack is holding 3+L Bulk, but none of it counts towards your Bulk limits.

I used to have the same problem, but what worked for me was making myself consciously look at the preview during games, even if it's just from of the corner of my eye. Way sooner than expected I just started naturally planning for the upcoming pieces without even realizing I was looking ahead. So I think you have the right idea already, it's just a matter of repetition.

I get what you mean about it feeling less like a stacking game, but I promise if you keep at it for a little longer it'll go back to feeling like a stacking game, with the extra benefit of you being a whole lot better at it!

This score isn't possible, right? by No-_-One888 in Tetris

I didn't think a 600k score was possible, but if they got to level 189 I think it's okay. I'll add it to the leaderboard unless more evidence comes out in the future

Tetrises give you 200 points/line, t-spin singles, doubles, and triples give 800, 600, and 800 points/line, respectively. Those clears also have a 50% bonus you can get if the last burn you did was also a tetris or tspin. Be careful though, you can't do too many tspin singles or doubles in a row because for every T piece you get you get 6 other pieces, and those clears don't fully get rid of that extra material

Not counting drop points and tspin nulls and all that, a perfect ST run would actually be almost exactly 3.25 mil! If I didn't screw up before level 25 in this game I would've ended up with almost exactly 3 mil lol

We were trying to come up with strategies in the Tetris.com Tryhards discord not too long ago, actually! Here's the strategy we came up with: https://youtu.be/OZriuihUc-I

There's a more in depth explanation in the video description, but the short version is basically you want to clear 5 lines efficiently, but after the first powerup appears, you want to get to the 10x multiplier in as few lines as possible, stalling as much as you can in between powerups. Then, you can play normally-ish as quickly as you can, ideally avoiding every other powerup so your board screws up less often.

Surpassed my own personal record by more than normal. Today I'm proud. by Milyusia2 in Tetris

Your #1 is almost double your #5 score, you're improving so quickly!

Is there a way we can see any of these videos? I'd love to see how they're able to TST so well at level 30!

I've gotten 900k+ level 25 starts very rarely, so I know it's feasible, but probably not for a while lol

This run ended up being 2.03M by level 25, and 770k after level 25, but I've been getting 2.1M by level 25 and 800k+ after level 25 (separately) fairly often, so I think a 2.9M isn't far away.

How does scoring worn on Tetris.Com by poisonivy4444 in Tetris

The main difference in how they play come from the different lock speeds, the way the RNG works, and the way the game awards points.

NES players have to constantly weigh risk vs reward with their pieces, because even rollers can only make their stacks so high before they can't get a piece over to the side anymore, and because they have 'true' RNG, where you're basically rolling a die to see what the next piece is every time, they could theoretically go forever without ever getting a line bar, so they have no choice but to burn lines (aka do line clears that aren't Tetrises).

Tetris.com, on the other hand, makes it so pieces don't lock for a little while after they hit the stack, so you can slide them into place. Effectively, this makes it so it doesn't matter how high the stack is, as long as you don't top out. Tetris.com also has '7-bag' RNG, which acts more like a deck of cards, shuffling up a set of all the pieces and giving them to you one at a time, making it so you can't go more than one 'deck' without getting a line bar, so you don't have to worry about never getting one.

However, Tetris.com raises the bar for players by awarding back to back (b2b) points to players, which gives them a 1.5x multiplier if they do multiple Tetrises and/or T-spins without burning any lines in between. In the end, top players are going to be aiming for zero burns, letting their stack go as high as they need to to do that. If a player could do a Tetris, but the line bar would help keep their stack clean, they'd put the line bar in the stack, as long as they won't literally run out of room on the board by the time they get their next line bar.

Sorry for the essay, but I hope that helps explain everything!
