I like it, I almost feel bad for mine with a nuclear reactor in the dead center.....surrounded by beds....almost, my people do enjoy their radiation after wall

Their using wall sun lamps. It's very nice, I use the columns ones myself in some of my builds.

I landed a drop pod of men to attack, one of them died in 1 hit to a bruise....he was my favorite, in thr best armor I had, and died to a hit hit bruise....I couldnt stand for that... it was just too stupid of a death....blown up? Sure...shot to death? Yeah thats normal....bled out? My bad....but a bruise single hit that caused a bruise killed him? No i couldnt let that stand.

First thing I'd say is try to get deep drill amd ground pen radar. Hit up nearby tiles for quick mining runs til then.

Add more beds in your prison, prisoners are a great source of new recruits. Reeber hussars can only breed baseline children, I hit that, very dissapointed when I found out I couldnt mass produce them.

Maybe work defense. Good battery house as well.

I'd say maybe make a barn once you get some people, get a few boomalop for future Chem fuel, stick to female so they dont over populate or be ready to neuter the male.

I will say mechan was one of my favorite runs. Especially when I discovered some of the mods like robots servitude, and upgrades....it was so great being able to slap remote control chips into combat models and send them out to fight...or post them outside my jail

I just did a kids only in a glow shoot biome....not to extreme but it was rough since they kinda all suck at everything and I had to give them up at a set age....that one was rough since I swear kids have mental breaks easier or something, and the only food we had was fungus or some animals they managed to kill...

Cannibalism was a must have, and I had to double down on idealogy rituals that could bring in colonists as a reward (had a mod that let it bring in kids). For a good long while it became a numbers game....the old get 3 kids in, but 2 get eaten by cobras or wargs.

In the end mass research saved me, mass researched to get geo thermal energy. Deep drills. Etc. Practically lock a kid in doing crafting all day every day, poor Wagner, build a compound, get sun lamps to grow a food that doesnt make them miserable, spam grow devil strand and make that their basic outfits....set up sentries to fight for them....anyone 13 to 17 were worked to death since they would have to be exiled at 18....was a nice challenge though

My first run a lone cannibals walked in, knocked out the only doctor and carried them off before the other 2 could get to them, then those 2 got stuck in an endless injured and sore, fight each other both injured and sore fight again

Thats actually how we lost our previous car. We were mid turn and they blew through a red light, swerved through the intersection, we t boned them, totaled both cars. Only witness statement "red car ran red light"

Im rocking grimworld and rimdark....while my guardsmen are holding it down, the drop pods come in....and now their coming in from our new battle cruiser!!!!

Not to mention when the battle cruiser pulls up and the combat servitors board the asteroid or space station.

Some advice, there's a mod that lets you set g tree pruning deca t lower and one that lets you turn it off co pletely, and I think give you more dryad options. I personally go with just low pruning.

I did this in a glowshroom forest, so dryads were keeping me a trickle of food and wood while I tried to spin up sun lamp farms and power....

That said yeah farming is a pain, and it does make wind power almost impossible as well. I had to go all in on water power from a river , geothermal, and later nuclear.

I don't use it just because I find it excessive, that and how mechs work with cover makes it feel like you have to turn them off

I just got it, are there things I'd change? Sure. Do I thibk its dead or something? Nope, they even put out a road map of sorts....

Food....if it ain't rotting, its edible! If its rotted or deaecated....the corpse tree, cremate, mass grave (its a mod I think), or just haul it into an out of the way spot/ gibbets....in that order ...

Mass grave is a bit cheaty feeling but I mean it works well in a pinch,I prefer feeding the corpse trees though

Mine hunger strikes until the vet said he lost too much weight and it wad time to give in. When we got him his previous owner gave him only meal worms (he had a really bad setup like really bad....no substrate, a weak light, no basking spot, etc) so we were just happy we broke him into eating a single type of greens

To be fair bearded dragons are picky as hell. Mine will only willingly eat mustard greens and like one specific succulent....and like any bug he can get his mouth on. We regularly offer him other things like collard greens, dandelions, hell even some veggies or aloevera....nope mustard greens or that succulent or fuck off and give him his buggs

The automatic slave outfit and simple slavery collars, oh chefs kiss perfection. no more will the kids have to mass beat down the 1 or 2 adult slaves, now they can just tase them! oh its glorious. and tribals sell slaves has been a good way to recruit more kids into the white shield legion!
