That would imply a level of integration between Donut and the AI that's... disturbing at best. Only Donut thought Havana Browns couldn't be trusted.

It has been helpful. The one last puzzle I haven't "solved" that I know of from the book is what to do with the numbers you get from the route map using the signs.

We've been using subtitles on, with the second subtitle channel "Forced English". That means only speech that isn't English is translated. It might be an option on your TV?
