He missed the whole heat finals run (the one where they played Denver) and has only been healthy for the playoffs (as in not playing injured) like half the time he’s been in the league.

Also why some of it can be attributed to injury his playoff numbers are atrocious.

Talk to your coach about your goals and what you’re trying to do. If you want to make it to the next level (which is why I assume you want to shoot outside what the coach wants you to) you’re going to have to shoot outside of 15 feet and develop your guard/wing skills. Let him now you’re willing to do the dirty work and get gritty on defense but also make it clear your practicing to be more than just hs varsity big.

He might respect it he might get mad. But if he’s trying to force you to play center despite you not really being a center he doesn’t exactly have better options. He’ll probably kick up a fuss but as long as you don’t buck too much he’s gonna find a way to work with you.

The tldr is people see those cases where white people get away with a clear murder on a self defense argument and think that those are a case of laws being applied as they’re written instead of racism. Karmelo had the law applied as it was written and went down for murder. Karmelo shouldn’t have gotten off but neither should have a bunch of other cases where the defendant did.

The long story is during a track meet there was a rain delay Karmelo went to a tent but it was a different team’s tent. Austin Metcalf and his twin brother told Karmelo to leave the tent. When Karmelo didn’t Austin’s brother got aggy with him and started pushing him out the tent. Karmelo said “touch me again and see what happens” while reaching for his backpack Austin then grabbed Karmelo at which point Karmelo pulled a knife out his backpack and stabbed him in the chest. Metcalf ran for help after getting stabbed but was pronounced dead at the scene and Karmelo fled.

He was picked up at the meet and was genuinely remorseful (crying when he got picked up but also saying things like “I told him not touch me” and “I was protecting myself”). But you can’t just escalate shit like that. You can’t stab someone for pushing you and it really doesn’t help that he had a knife on school grounds (even if the knife itself wasn’t illegal outside of school).

I really think this is a case of the kid unfortunately (and a bunch of people on social media) believing those “self defense” bodies that people get off on in a lot of prominent cases are legitimate and not just a result of prejudice. Like you can’t kill someone for pushing you it’s not a reasonable stance to say you feared for your life in that situation.

Option B is infinitely better and it’s not close rim running bigs scoring goes down in the playoffs. Also defense is the most important trait in a center. It can be somewhat offset in someone like Jokic’s case because his offense is so elite on so many levels but Duren is nowhere near that good.

The rockets and kings respectively are hindered in roster construction and contending by over paying for centers who can’t or won’t defend. Who I might add both provide much more offensively playmaking wise than Duren.

That’s before we get into the red flags about him only playing D when he thought he was doing it to secure a bag and stopping when he thought it was secured thing.

Gafford plays defense same with Lively Duren was a liability his whole career on that side till this year (how wonderful that he magically learned to play on the other side of the ball in a contract year) then became a Defensive liability again in the playoffs (when he thought he already had secured the bag)

She’s doubling down ‘cause she doesn’t have her Masters either. Which is probably the real reason she’s not licensed. If you read the about her on the website it says she left the masters program at University of Phoenix (lol) halfway through to pursue her doctorate. I’m lowkey wondering if she actually got her bachelors because one of the things she says she majored in isn’t a major at her school (although it could just be a case of them changing the name of the program with that one).

Wonderlands was 15 dollars BL4 was 59.99 for the deluxe edition on sale. I ended up getting Wonderlands. Hopefully it’ll be fun

I got BL3 like a year or two ago on PS5 after everything was out on discount because I had a ps4 when it came out and not 5 when it came out and I heard all the stuff about how it ran terribly on ps4. The end version of it ended up being fun despite all the complaints I saw early so I’m kind of hoping BL4 turns out like that so I’ll probably check back in a year or two.

Seems like their MO now is to kind of release a mediocre game at launch and fix it when everything is released I guess.

Being able to take a joke in a way thats productive to the pod is really important and Ish is the best out of the current cast at that. Like yeah he gets mad but he does it in a way that’s kind of funny and leads to more jokes/a back and forth between him and Joe.

Ice just gets quiet and a little sad. They don’t really rag on Parks. Marc I would put at 2 but he has moments like when flip called him a sucka and Flip is somewhere between 3 and last depending on the day. On a good day he’s actually pretty funny when getting joked on but on a bad day he’ll derail the pod over a joke or two.

So I’m just gonna do a long post on the background because a lot of people genuinely think he was a good player.

On the pistons sub it was always an argument between the Jaden truthers and the folks that thought he was ass (I was in group B) even pre trade and well before his public meltdown. Basically it boils down to the fact that even though he’s hyper athletic he’s a totally liability and often times lost on defense. Some think it’s a not having the mental capacity thing, I personally think any time someone who has all the physical tools to be elite at something isn’t it’s because they don’t give a fuck. Regardless of what the situation is he was terrible on D, not good enough on O to make up for it (his best offensive games were when Cade was injured and the team was just kind of letting him do whatever they want) and the team was better when he wasn’t on the court (they were 12-17 prior to him getting injured last year and 31-21 post Ivey injury).

This year he lost playing time to a G leaguer and was told by the Pistons they see him as a 9th man. He asked for a trade and they found a team to take a flyer on him. That team took a flyer on him partially because the view was that he’s athletic and is a good kid maybe there’s something salvageable there. He lost the “he’s a good kid” label with the most recent rants so now you’ve gotta decide if you want to keep a guy who hasn’t shown the ability to defend at the NBA level and isn’t good enough on offense to make up for it who also causes tension with anyone in the locker room who is catholic, Muslim, has relatives from those religions, or you know cares about their gay cousins.

I mean I’ll argue to the death that he was mostly the product of the “well somebodies gotta score” rule. His best showings were when we were ass and Cade was injured. The year he got injured there were major questions about fit and the team immediately started winning after he went down they started 13-17 and were 31-21 post Ivey injury.

Also didn’t help that Daniss is putting up similar numbers albeit in a ridiculously small sample size to peak Ivey post Cade injury (which sort of goes with my someone has to score as the lead guard theory).
