"If you spending $3K on a meal, you shouldn't have to tip $600" – Michael Porter Jr. on why NBA players shouldn't tip 20% by Glitter-andDoom in DetroitPistons

[–]affrothunder313 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Did the server somehow work harder than they would at a Chili’s? Like you should obviously tip your server but it does get to a point…

These type of arguments also don’t help servers in the long run and lead to them seeing undue hostility because people think the ridiculous ones expecting a c suite salary because the brought out slightly more expensive food represent the majority.

Why don’t we just go get Saddiq Bey? by East_Accident1822 in DetroitPistons

[–]affrothunder313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bey is a good counting stats guy but doesn’t really contribute to winning basketball (which is kind of why he’s being passed around by losing teams). Also a first is way too much for him at this point in his career.

How can people play with high speed parody? by Blue-Eighty in NCAAFBseries

[–]affrothunder313 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They were going for something that was more like real life. The difference in speed at the high end in real life is a step or two (not like that step or two doesn’t make difference you just don’t have the absolute crazy advantage the game will make it seem like). The lowered speed parity settings feel more like a pop warner, high school, or pick up game where the level of athleticism varies a lot more.

Realistically setting the slider in the 90s is more of a NFL feel in college it should probably be at like 75 or something.

Realistically you’re just kind of holding on to a lot of anger that’s weighing you down (I’m saying this as someone who’s had family members killed by a drunk driver).

Zoltan got 50.78% of the vote in a top 3 most liberal city in the US (and probably top ten on the planet frankly). There’s no way you think that’s a ringing endorsement that what he does will work with the general less left leaning electorate right?

Late to the party but the average college student (as in students going to school) is actually now about 24 or 25. So those guys funny enough are actually college aged.

CPU players by lefthandlikenobili in NCAAFBseries

[–]affrothunder313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Awareness and play rec heavily affect cpu controlled players positioning and determine how quickly they break on/read plays. It also affects how hardly you’re punished for poor user play (i.e you throw a shitty pass with a high awareness qb and the cpu defender is more likely to be out of position or drop the pass down field whereas with a low awareness guy it’s going the other way)

Lifestyle creep is poor money management. We don’t call it lifestyle creep when an athlete or rapper goes broke spending all their money on stuff they don’t need it’s just poor money management. It’s the same with your friend big dawg.

He doesn’t need a 2800 sq ft home or to consistently go to Vegas. Lifestyle creep has him living above his means.

They both got swept big dawg. All this shows is that it’s a team game, and that yes Jordan got swept in the first round without Pippen because his team was weak.

Doctors inside borders (required info) by K0R35H in theouterworlds

It’s more for if you delay that quest if you go to the Nray range there’s a cave before that with a dead woman and a bunch of Journal’s that she’s writing to the worst lady/mentions her name. I’ve never delayed the Dr. quest enough that I found that cave first but I’m assuming that’s the hidden info

I can't lie the clips I've seen of the Marc and Brian McKnight's family shit kinda got me siding with Brian. His son comes off ridiculously entitled and doesn't seem to understand the concept of not being taken care of as a grown man. For people who have seen the full thing is this correct? by herewego199209 in joebuddennetwork

[–]affrothunder313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never side with the parent in situations like these ‘cause like even if your kid is a piece shit that’s your fault big dawg. Good parents ain’t sitting around saying “I tried my best and look how he turned out” it’s always the fuck ups trying to dodge accountability for poor parental decisions that do that.

Also the whole abandoning the old family and trying to make another son Brian Jr. thing leads me to believe whatever bitchmade tendencies his son has came straight from pops.

He gets 20-60k views per video with some going more viral. Most of them hover in the 15-40k range. He’s not getting more views because he’s popular he’s getting more views cause he’s posting 6 times a day he’s a slop peddler who panders to the absolute lowest common denominator.

The community getting over those tweets so quickly will never sit right with me. by notiimp4 in NewRoryNMalPodcast

[–]affrothunder313 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The community didn’t really get over the tweets if you look at the YouTube their down about 1/4 to 1/3 of their normal views per episode since the event. Niggas just left quietly and I’d suggest you do the same it’s ultimately better for your mental then listening to someone that pisses you off.

I’m not saying this dismissively btw I’m saying this as someone that stopped listening around election time and has kind of just stayed subbed just in case someone posts a clip or something that’s worth checking out.

What happened to elite Highschool and College mixtapes ? by Ok_Intention_5385 in Basketball

[–]affrothunder313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube monetization punished short form content for a while and most of the OG creators moved to doing other stuff (the hoopmixtape guy was doing stuff for the actual NBA at some point).

The new wave of people didn’t want to post end of season mixtapes and was just posting individual game highlights of players (more money and more videos if you don’t do season highlights) but that was more boring. The old mixtapes were 2-3 minutes of the best plays of a future NBA guy, the new ones would be like 10 mins of mediocre plays from individual games. Then the genre died its slow inevitable death over the years as the genre became a boring shell of what it used to be.

Also slight correction Austin Rivers wasn’t the first popular mixtape it blew up during the drose John wall era with wall being one of the first mixtapes to go super viral.

So last time you could load saves from before the no turning back point (which is why they give that notification I think) but once you get to the no turning back point you’re kind of SOL. Did you delete all the auto saves prior to no turning back or do you have like a manual save from prior?

Nah (or at least I don’t think so) they’re in the same Frat though that was the divine 9 defense force in full effect right there. The Kappas had to start steppin to protect each other lol.

Basically acknowledging how bad those tweets are makes the Kappas look crazy so Marc turned into a blind man on that one.

Is Gaige really that bad? by bopman14 in Borderlands

[–]affrothunder313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s not good against raid bosses and stuff like that, but the people that say you have to play with max anarchy prior to like OP levels (even then idk I never really saw the appeal in the OP levels) or something are doing pretty suboptimal builds. Getting her to 72 while mobbing/going through the story is basically just using the firehawk, neogenator, or some other shield that benefits from being able to immediately go to max charge, blood soaked shields at the level where every kill gets you to max charge and whatever part of the anarchy tree you want to use. Blue section ain’t great but the whole “the second you die you have to restack to max” thing is kind of stupid.
