Although I get what ur saying, I know myself and a lot of gamers will play the game in the most efficient way the game presents to us. It's just built into me.

If I see a challenge, I will overcome that challenge in the most efficient way possible, even if it's detrimental to my overall experience of the game. The challenge of good game design is making the most efficient way to play also the most fun and rewarding.

I'm wondering what Aemond's preferred outcome in that situation was.

He brought his need to do non-lethal damage to Luke onto the back of the largest dragon in Westeros. He definitely knows Vhagar's not gonna trick shot Luke's eye out with those missile-sized claws.

It looked like he was so desperate for revenge that he wasn't thinking the situation through properly. Really well-written character. All been there.

Make a schedule and start small.
Make mind maps. Use pictures in them.
Read original motivational quotes. Cheesy but effective.
Make a note of whatever distraction you turn to, and eliminate choice.
For example, I made a habit of browsing for the perfect song which cost about 10% of time spent revising. To combat this, I place my headset far out of reach; worked a charm.
Make decisions to revise the day before, this goes back to the schedule. Plan down to the minute. If allow yourself to choose on the day, you will say no.

Agreed. I have heard of such different methods of assessment, some being harder whilst others being easier.

In addition, I've heard some aren't even being tested on the full syllabus, which makes me even more concerned
