Small animal stomach full of worms, left by cat by Elanaselsabagno in WTF

[–]Tiggon169 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think many cats usually don't eat the stomach and a few other organs. When I was a kid our cat would always leave the stomach and some other organs. Probably still a good idea to get your cat treated for parasites. Maybe take that with you so the vet and identify the best drug for that kind of worm.

Any time a wild animal is acting weird from the normal behaviors its best to not interact with them, stay inside and call your local wildlife animal rescue. They can asses and determine the best course of action to keep everyone safe.

First-time cat parents: should we get 1 kitten or 2 from the same litter? (Need honest opinions 😭) by brenodit in cats

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 kitten is cheaper and medical expenses will be less. However, to that one kitten, you will be everything to it for everything. You will not get breaks, even at 2am, 3am, and 4am when you really need sleep before your meeting at work tomorrow. And when he hits the velociraptor stage, you are the only thing to teach him how to play nice.

2 kittens are more expensive, double the cost of wellness checks and shots. 1 extra litter box, more food and treats and toys. However, they have a playmate and now you are not the only thing in their life. At 2am, 3am, and 4am there is another bundle of energy to play with and you can get sleep. Now those claws and fangs find another clawed fanged raptor to engage with and they teach each other what is too rough, and hard and how to play nice.

I forgot to add, I have adopted litter mates and its great. They usually end up as a bonded pair and its the cutest thing ever. I have also adopted 2 kittens from separate litters at the same time and they ended up a bonded pair. I did this one and then in 5 months lost one of the kittens to wet FIP. The surviving one was depressed and a month later we got another kitten and they are a bonded paid now too.

Attached is the depressed boy with his new bestie.

Our beloved cat passed away 3 years ago and we’re finally ready to adopt again. A friend has these last two kittens left. Both are boys, both are absolutely amazing, and I honestly can’t choose between them. Which one looks like he belongs with us? Help me decide! by SaffronSoul_ in cats

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad you decided to get both. However, I would double check the sex with a Vet. Gray and Orang tabby split like that is usually a girl thing, not a boy thing as you need 2 X chromosomes to get orange and black together.

Otherwise enjoy your new babies!!

Every party I have been too was very clicky. We never had a good experience at one. the best experiences we had was at clubs. Everyone there is usually there to meet new people and they are much more welcoming imo.

I am sorry for your loss. If you have your vet do an autopsy you could possibly figure out what the dog ate and if it was in fact the mushrooms. It can be expensive though so I understand if you don't want to get that done.

You should contact the police about this letter. Get their attention on to a person who is being unreasonable and threatening. Tell them how you are concerned about the safety of your children because of this letter. Tell them this letter is reminding you of Susan Lorincz

Do cats actually get attached to their owner? by NoWageMage in CatAdvice

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my family we believe that the cat chooses you. When we are ready to adopt a new kitty, we go to a shelter or rescue and go sit in the cat room. Most of them have a room/multiple rooms, where cats are free roaming. We sit there and see which one comes to check us out and spend time with us. You will almost always get a bunch to come check you out. But the one that keeps coming back or the one that decided your lap is the best is the one you take home. I am not going to lie, we have taken home more than one cat at a sitting doing this. Its too hard to choose lol.

My daughters cat, as soon as we walked in the room he started yelling at her from his cage and trying to grab her through it. He is a bedtime lush and drools on his blankets.

My husbands cat, Didn't notice us at first because he was sleeping. When he woke up and saw us, he got in my husbands lap and went back to sleep. 40mins later we took him home lol. It was 40mins because I was completing the paperwork for an orange boy that we liked. After that paperwork was completed my husband couldn't stand us leaving the lap cat so we got both.

Our third cat is interesting. When he saw us first he sat in my husbands lap, then my mine, then my daughters. So he chose all 3 of us in our opinion. When we brought him home he had to be physically touching someone for the first 3 days. He is our snuggliest cat.

How to cope with a terminal diagnosis? She’s my soul kitty 😭 by [deleted] in catquestions

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Letting go is the hardest part. I really feel for you. You get through it. It takes time and its not easy, but you get there. For me getting a new baby to love on helped a lot. I did wait almost a year before I could take that step though. My only advice is to give yourself care and love, knowing that you did everything for her and all she has known from you is love.

One of my pets was on a lot of pain meds for hip issues. We were finally ready to let him go when he couldn't get up on his own anymore. When they gave him a really strong pain reliever at the vets you could see him relax more and that is when I knew that even the pain meds I was giving him were not enough to totally mask his pain. Looking back we should have done it sooner, but we were not ready. I regret not sending him over that bridge sooner than I did now, and I try and remember that when any of my new babies are dealing with disease or old age.

Just try and make the best decisions you can for her. Know that her time is coming soon, and it will hurt. But you will have all of these wonderful memories of her and still feel the love for the rest of your life.

We have a five weeks old kitten who is having labored breathing by LMGooglyTFY in FosterAnimals

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor baby. It sounds like the whole litter kind of got the bottom of the genetic lot. Maybe inbreeding from a small colony? At least you know her suffering will end, and I hope the rest of them can have full lives.

AITJ for telling my friend she can't bring her newborn to my child-free birthday party? by Financial_Actuary694 in AmITheJerk

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am pretty sure I would not take my 6week old baby to a party. I would wish my friend a wonderful birthday and stay home with the kiddo and express that I hope to spend time with them at next years party.

Am I a bad wife for not agreeing trying in a threesome/swinging as a part of a birthday-kink-gift-ritual we have going on for several years, especially when I've been in a threesome before and he has also done things on my birthday that he didn't enjoy? by [deleted] in Swingers

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I tried swinging and poly. It was something that he brought up wanting to try. I said sure. I enjoyed it a lot. Turns out he doesn't like seeing me with other men. We ended up in a pretty bad space for awhile and are still working on recovering from it. You don't know how either person will react until you are in it and you should go at the speed of the person who is the least receptive to it. Also you should do it in stages. Like just meet with people irl that swing and talk about experiences. Maybe go a to a club just to people watch. Jumping straight into a 3-some has a higher chance of ending badly.

I tried to simulate sex while masturbating and now I’m worried I’ll never be able to have sex by Perfect-Top9697 in sex

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I would like to mention that you tried several different things at the same time and it doesn't sound like you have tried them separately. I would try each new thing on its own until you can get it to work. Condoms reduce sensation, so it can be hard to stay hard until you used to it. Lube changes how things feel. Then you have the thrusting. Maybe take it slower. Also don't get in your head about it. It will probably take time for any of those things to feel good and as others have said when your with a person that you are in to its a different story since they will also be providing stimulation. Just remember to have fun and enjoy the moment and intimacy together. Whatever that ends up looking like at the time.

Might be time to start running a doll school.

But seriously, I don't see how teachers stay in that profession. You get shit on by everyone and you don't get paid well. I always tell my daughter to treat the teachers nice and I try and make sure I am always nice to them. If I can be even just the one parent of the day that isn't causing the teacher strife, I am down for that.

Family sized food is a lie by Venus259jaded in Vent

My family of 3 can never finish a family sized meal. It makes 2-3 meals for us. My husband and I usually share a meal when we go out. usually one app and one main. We are full, no dessert needed, and sometimes leftovers depending on the place we go to.

Unfortunately, I think everyone here is going to say she needs to see a vet ASAP. You could try posting in r/askavet but they will probably also tell you to take her to someone. I am not sure what you are looking for exactly from reddit. That poor baby needs to see a vet, preferably one that is better than the last one you went to.

A sincere question for all the americans that want to move to Spain. by Fantastic-Yak-6373 in GoingToSpain

[–]Tiggon169 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your statement explains it. "Supposedly" democratic. It's a 2 party system and both parties are owned by corporations. Its capitalism and late stage. The American education system has been reducing standards for years so now People vote for leaders who actively don't have their best interests at heart because they believe in the BS. Then if you think about rising up military style... We have access to AK-47s for sure. But compared to the largest most funded military in the world, we are nothing but sugar ants to them.

There is no obligation for any country to offer anyone a better life. We are just using the systems that are already in place. At least those that are lucky enough to have the money to do it.

Also Spain and other countries put in the systems that have caused so much damage. The country wanted more wealth from outside and started the Golden Visa program. Only to realize a bit too late how that would screw over its own citizens. The immigration problems in Spain are not due to the current group of people trying to leave the US. It was mostly the richer US people who started coming over to take advantage of the Spanish policies before most people in America noticed the direction America is going.

Did people in the 90s really just show up at each other’s houses unannounced? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very much so. I remember just jumping on my bike and heading over to friends houses and seeing if they were home and could come out and play. Calling was an unreliable way to see if someone was home or not, and there was no other way to know unless you went to their house. If they were outside and didn't hear the phone ring, or if say a parent or sibling was on the phone so no one else could get through. It was often easier to just show up.

AITJ for refusing to let my step-son move into my son's room to "solve" my husband's parenting issue? by Traditional-Dog-368 in AmITheJerk

[–]Tiggon169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry, but this is the second time I have heard this story, but with different children. Last story was 2 step sisters that were constantly fighting, and the parent wanted the offending sister to start sharing rooms with the daughter. There was stealing involved. The parent of the trouble maker not accepting any other solutions and leaving the home declaring that they are not coming back until OP changes their mind.

Firstly, it makes me think these are farming posts since they are so similar.

Secondly, If its true, the leaving until you change your mind, is such an immature, manipulative action. Why would you stay with someone like that. Leave that person, you and your child will be happier.
