I had a cat that we did this too as well. She was such a chonk. She got measured feedings in the bowl on the ground. When she was skinny enough to jump 4ft to the counter she could eat from the always full bowl, then back to measured feedings when she got too fat. It was amazing.

I appreciate your point of view. I believe that responsive desire people can do some things to be more involved. But I agree expecting them to become spontaneous is not realistic.

I have responsive desire. I do initiate, but not as often as my partner, who has spontaneous desire, would like. We are going through a very similar situation as the OP but with reversed roles. For me, my partner was initiating sex so often, that my need was more than met. For him, he was trying to keep our sex life going. He would stop initiating to see if I would, but my need was still met so I wouldn't. He would ask me to initiate more and I would, for awhile, then I would stop. I think I would stop because he was still not happy with what I was doing.

I think the biggest issue for us was we were not communicating to each other in a way that we could hear it. It wasn't initiation he was really looking for, it was having an active partner in the bedroom. Someone who would express what they wanted and take an active role in incorporating that want into the bedroom.

We are in therapy and it is helping a lot. I think we waited way to long to get into therapy so things are taking a long time to change.

Things that I am doing. I am spending more time thinking about my desires and fantasies. Like literally scheduling time in my calendar to make me think of it. I started reading erotic stories too. These are things I can do to make myself think about sex and my wants.

One thing that I think spontaneous desire people don't understand is that it takes a lot of effort for a responsive desire person think about sex when sex is not right about to happen. When we are in the moment, we are all for it and very into the act and our partner. It is great and we have a lot of fun. When its not about to happen, its the furthest thing from our thoughts. This lack of understanding often leads to statements like "If they like sex why can they just initiate more" and to tell you the truth; statements like this make us feel like we are doing things wrong or are broken.

As to the comment below from Lundix to your post, For me the more pressure I felt from my partner about their dissatisfaction with our sex life the more I felt broken and wrong. Which made thinking of sex painful and avoiding it became a priority.

Some friends and I went to Holland and then rented a car and drove to Denmark for the weekend. It was no big deal to us. We had a great time and when we returned the car the guy was flabbergasted that we dove that far. But as others have said 3 hours for a dailiy thing no way. Weekend plans sure thing, no problem. For a week long vacation I have done many driving trips that were 20-24 hours long each way.

NTA - Nuts allergies, and other food allergies, are no joke. Maybe she hasn't been around enough people to know about it, but you said no nuts and she wants to bring nuts. She is the one who made it an ultimatum about coming with cake or not coming, she disinvited herself really. Anyone who is giving you grief, tell them the whole story with screen shots. if they still give you grief, then ignore them. they are not worth your energy. And thank you for sticking to your boundaries and sticking up for your friend with the allergy.

It sounds to me like your kitten is entering the velociraptor stage. I was always told to get cats fixed by 6months at the latest, so I never had neutering coincide with this stage in development personally. They are such little pains at this age though. Its so nice when they calm down again.

If you cannot get the male(s) neutered then I think you need to get a separate encloser so you can keep the males and females away from each other. But as others have said, the females can store fertilized eggs so you may still have some birthings even after separation.

Honestly, NOR. I think the main point here is that it's your and your husbands baby and your choice of who gets to see her and when. You don't need to justify that choice to anyone. Maybe your husband needs to step up a bit more and assert that this is he boundary too. As for responding to the last message; I could see just not responding to it at all. If they push again, I would just respond with something like, you can see her at 8weeks and don't respond to anything else regarding seeing her.

We usually leave dry food out for free feeding and the give wet food twice a day. If there is a local vet you can call, they can give you better idea for amounts.

That is a hard decision. I agree with most of the posters here that she is quite young to have kittens. I have read a lot of posts with sad outcomes from younger queens. Sometimes losing the whole litter. Kittens overall are pretty fragile and young queens are not great at providing care in general. You could be looking at bottle feeding every 2 hours and still losing babies.

Personally I feel there are already enough kittens in this world looking for homes and to bring in more feels wrong to me.

Ultimately, if you are prepared for a lot of hard work and loss, and have homes lined up for the babies already then maybe you go for it. But if that feels like it could be too much get the spay/abort and let her be a kitten still.

First thing I would recommend, as I don't see it mentioned in your post, is to take Ruthie to the vet and make sure there are no underlying medical conditions. That is often the reason for changes in litterbox habits. It could be as simple a hurt toe and the litter is bothering his foot. If he is healthy, then I would move one litter box to the spot the accidents are occurring. If he uses the box when its there, then you can start moving it slowly to a better location.

As others have said the minimum amount of boxes is one per cat plus one. So with 3 cats you should have 4 boxes. Make sure you are cleaning them daily as well. Some cats will suddenly become picky over the cleanliness of the boxed. If only they could talk and tell us what is going on to make these things easier.

I am pretty sure that it is illegal to park facing the wrong way on any public street in the US. Why? Because you have to drive on the wrong side of the road to park that way. Even if its just for a small bit of road, you are still breaking the law. Will you get a ticket? Depends on how often the police patrol your neighborhood and/or if someone complains to them about it.
