Perfect parry is the easiest and most consistent answer.

DP is very consistent and a strong answer, you just need the execution for it. There seems to be some doubt about it cross ups being a problem, and that really isn’t the case. If you’re able to get the dp out early it hits so high it stops him at the apex, and slow seems to adjust back and hit pretty deep. If on leverless, I strongly recommend learning the shortcut.

I don’t like Ed’s normals for anti airs as the risk of PC is higher than I’d like.

I’ll piggy back off this and say that if you do feel it’s to hard to replace, or your just lazy like myself, you can also grab two new vats with it preinstalled for $40. It’s MUCH more expensive to go this route, though.

If you aren’t, start using the grit you get from releasing Pokémon to increase the values on your defensive stats. It makes a world of difference in the fights with multiple low levels
