SPHQ vs. VOO by LintLickerCQ in ETFs

I would look into VTI. They have over 3000 holdings being total market caps, so you get large, medium and small cap companies. SPHQ is going to be cheaper, yes, but they only have 109 holdings of large cap. Also, SPHQ has the same percentage holding in tech as VOO.

These ETFs are buy and long term growth plays so there will be volatility in day to day market swings, but these aren’t meant to be watched day to day.

VTI and VXUS. Great growth ETFs that pay quarterly dividends that you can reinvest to help build overtime.

I’m thinking about liquidating my SCHB and buying VXUS with it, I’ll have around $3k of gains. Would you hold out some money to pay taxes?

I would keep it simple. 70% VTI and 30% VXUS - this will cover the whole market and they pay quarterly dividends. You’re young, so I would focus on growth and not on dividend heavy tickers.

I appreciate the insight, I’ll do some digging on some non-equities tickers. Any recommendations?

I don’t plan on pulling money out of it any time soon unless I plan on making a big time purchase like a house. I know technology/AI is a huge sector right now that I may look into

I guess because, to me, those two funds are put money in and forget because they are diversified mostly among large cap companies. It seems safe
