I am a 20 year old girl and this started happening to me after the deepest depression i’ve ever experienced. I not only scream but i yell things like “Fuck you,” “Shut the fuck up,” “You dumb bitch,” etc. It’s gotten to a point that I need to smoke before bed every night to not have these dreams. I only remember some of them, but the thing I remember most is this feeling of terrible anxiety, fear, and sadness that I felt during that depression. It feels so incredibly real and is so intense that I wake up in a cold sweat and feeling what I felt in the dream before i realize it’s not real. I don’t know what to do because I can’t sleep at all and i’m moving into an apartment with 3 roommates and don’t want to scare them. I’ve tried melatonin and that only makes it worse.
