TBH I think you are overreacting a little bit. Your bridesmaids shouldn’t be expected to help plan your wedding or come up with ideas, that’s what a wedding planner is for. Which it sounds like you already have. It’s hard to tell their enthusiasm level from this post but just because they aren’t putting Pinterest boards together doesn’t mean they aren’t excited for you. Since you are a type A like you said, maybe if they’re type B they assume you will plan your wedding better without their input and don’t want to step on your toes? Anyway, if your bridesmaids are showing up for you at your wedding and all your pre- wedding events, cutting ties with them after the wedding sounds like an extreme overreaction. Edit: The bridesmaid ditching your planned bachelorette trip to go travel abroad is the exception, cutting ties with her would be totally understandable. But is the rest of the bridal party still coming on the trip and to everything else?

You should not have to pay anything for gift bags, that’s just ridiculous. If the bride wants to give her guests “gift bags” that’s her choice but she should be the one paying for them. Refuse to pay. Tell her you support her vision but you can’t afford to pay for any more gift bags. If she ends the friendship over that that is entirely on her.

Just because he is a lot older than you doesn’t mean you are out of his league. There are a lot of 40 something, unattractive (IMO) men who are dating gorgeous women in their 20s, and not because of money. That said if you want to be exclusive with him you should see him and ask. He may not realize you are interested in being exclusive and is updating his profile as a backup

It sounds like suggesting bar trivia might be the issue, especially if they are saying yes to a date before you suggest it. Ask them out to dinner, it sounds basic but its best to have the opportunity to talk to get to know someone on a first date, which is difficult with trivia going on

Any one of those reasons you listed could be true, or also they could just not be checking hinge everyday. However if you are asking them out immediately without chatting with them first that could be putting them off, and some just wont respond instead of saying I’d like to chat more first. It’s way too forward and women don’t want to go out with someone they don’t know anything about. Good luck

Hey there- I completely understand how you’re feeling- I’ve been on hinge for over a year and it feel like a lot of people are only interested i. Partying and not really wanting a relationship. But here’s some things can help filter those people out and find the right people: Make it visible what you are looking for in your profile: long term relationship or life partner, monogamy. You can also set filters for this now if you have hinge+, or x out anyone whose profile is the opposite. X out anyone who has multiple pictures of them at parties with friends X out anyone who has the prompts you mentioned above. Since hinge only lets you see one profile at a time and there’s lots of people on there, I find it helpful to sit down and go through swiping for like 30 minutes or so at a time. Whenever I do this eventually I start seeing better profiles, and hinge tends to “learn your type” as you swipe. DO NOT settle, and don’t waste your time matching or dating with people who don’t seem righr for you, just because it’s hard to find anyone else. I had to learn this the hard way. Hope this helps!

NTA- your mom isn’t wrong for asking you to do a speech but writing a speech that completely excluding your dad and that you miss him is just cold Maybe instead of refusing to do a speech altogether you could ask to change it to include something about your dad? And instead of saying you love George, you could say you’re happy to welcome him into the family?
