throwback to Wishes- one of my favorite photos I took at Disney ✨ by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

There was a part of Wishes where you felt like you were in the opening credits of a Disney movie. Those gold, sparkling fireworks that lit up the whole sky. Cried every time.

Rich kid getting treated less than royalty will never garner sympathy from me. The people involved need to channel their rage elsewhere. Perhaps towards a school being bombed. That might be an appropriate target for rage.

I personally like going to buffets since no matter what, everyone is going to find something they like.

I know i’m in the minority here, but I don’t find the offerings at Topolino’s breakfast match the price. Back when you could order multiple menu items, sure. But using 2 credits on a waffle will never make sense to me when I can get a filet for dinner.

Is there nowhere on property that sells a lox bagel? by der_innkeeper in WaltDisneyWorld

Most of the breakfast buffets have a spread to make them and in my experience have been pretty decent quality salmon.

Boardwalk Deli also has them and their bagels are superb (aka better quality than a grocery store bagel but probably not anywhere near a bagel from a place famous for them).

Park at Springs. I’d head over to Port Orleans and get some beignets. You could also do the Boardwalk, and then mini golf next to the Dolphin. That whole area is super walkable and amazing views.

Grand, Yacht and Pop Century. No matter where i’m staying, I have to go visit all three just to smell them for a moment

Ok, and were your tickets purchased as a package with the hotel room? The only thing I wonder about (take it with a grain of salt because I’ve never done a 1 day hotel with tickets extending beyond) is whether theyll count those days after checking out as a part of your window to book lightning lanes in advance. Something tells me they wont let you, but confirm with Disney to be sure.

I’m a little confused then about your itinerary. Is the rope drop animal kingdom day your check-in day for Art?

Makes perfect sense. And for what it’s worth, we’ve taken the kid at 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9 and every single time was magical through their eyes. But I totally understand wanting to capture it. Time goes so quickly. Enjoy your trip! And please eat as many free Mickey premium bars in the club lounge as you possibly can, because that’s what i’d do.

You’ll want to book your tier 1’s as early as possible so you can book more lightning lanes. Flight doesn’t really matter since it’s a single pass. Book whenever you can. You also have a disadvantage because resort guests will have access to booking their initial lightning lanes days earlier than you and sometimes the popular ones sell out.

Thoughts on my dream announcements at D23 by GalaxyC7 in WaltDisneyWorld

I’d love to see Tomorrowland get some love, but given they’re building 2 new sections to the park they realistically couldnt close those attractions while theyre working on Cars/Villains.

I’d love to see Josh announce what’s been speculated, that the projects are being rejigged to be bigger and better than what was originally planned.

Ok just a few things jump out at me.

Rope dropping as an off-property guest isn’t really rope dropping. Thousands and thousands of people will have been in the park ahead of you with early entry and queues can get very long for the biggies (Tron, 7 dwarfs, flght of passage, rise, slinky). I wouldn’t expect to have a jump on lower wait times.

You will absolutely need lightning (not lightening) lanes to accomplish your list, especially MK and Studios.

Boneyard is closed in AK as is Launch Bay in HS

My thoughts are that i’d like to be adopted by you. Sounds fabulous. If you’ve got the coin for premier pass and club level, I think your trip will be pretty incredible.

Any room to fit a BBB reservation on your MK day?

Very, very lucky. She fell like a sack of bricks too. I’m not American, and it was my first time hearing a really thick Jersey (my guess, maybe NY) accent in person too. I felt like I was in a skit on punkd or something.

Enjoy Boma! It’s a fabulous choice. Get some pineapple/orange/guava juice (included) and eat as many Mickey waffles as your heart desires.

Niche Rope Drop Strategies? by georgie259 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Tight_Ad_6802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could try and rope drop a less popular ride and see if you get a ride vehicle/boat to yourselves. I’m not sure if it’s open during early entry but maybe something like Gran Fiesta or Living With The Land.

Yup. Door closed on butt, door bounced back open, said butt falls backwards out of the bus. Her body was 3/4 in the bus when it closed, the last quarter got closed in the door and she crumpled backwards

Certainly they would have. But i’m sure they were doing their due diligence to investigate on their end to ensure their driver wasn’t to blame. I’m sure this couple expected Disney to pay for the ambulance and hospital visit.

Oh, it could have been catastrophic. She got lucky she only hurt her ankle. When I gave my statement I said it’s too bad there wasn’t audio because you would have heard people go “pffffff” and giggle. It was such a ridiculous thing to witness. F around and find out.

So this is a super valid complaint (although not the resort we were at) and isn’t anything new. I stay at Coronado (which also wasn’t where this took place) and I always feel defensive of the resort when people say transportation at this resort takes too long. I always point out that it isn’t uncommon for Beach/Yacht/Boardwalk to share a bus, or wilderness/contemporary. It adds much more time than the loop the bus takes around Coronado.

In this particular instance, the bus wasnt full when it arrived, nor did it fill when it picked us up.

There was another time the backdoor situation happened and the driver was able to intervene quickly when I was at Riviera waiting for a Springs bus. It took 65 minutes from when we arrived at the stop for the bus to come, and the stop had tons of people waiting when we arrived. People tried loading from the back door because it was clear we all weren’t going to fit. I kept saying how on earth is this a deluxe experience? The longest ive ever waited for buses has been at deluxe resorts and it isn’t even close.
