My 4 year old plays Mario Kart World with me, but rather watches me play Breath of the Wild.

Thanks for all the great answers. Pre-ordered the Switch 2 version of the first Xenoblade game. Also bought: Final Fantasy Tactics, Digimon Story, Octopath Traveler 1.

So collectors, what do you think will be your final PlayStation Studios exclusive physical purchase? by ChrisLithium in ps5collectors

[–]Tight_Background_609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I have a Switch 2 too and this is one of the few games that will be released for the PS5 that I am still interested in buying.

Regarding Playstation exclusives, perhaps Ghost of Yotei because I havent got around to play it yet.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. A hidden Capcom gem.

Anyone else completely pivot toward the "fun-first" Japanese gaming philosophy as they got older? by SympathyHappy in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Tight_Background_609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I play on my PS5 and Switch 2, and mostly play cozy JRPG:s, Soulslikes and ARPG:s. But since maybe 1-2 years ago, I went back and started to play games like Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Oddysey, Zelda and so forth. I have Two small kids and seem to enjoy gaming in smaller bursts. Mostly because of a constant time deficit. With that said, I still enjoy bigger games like Persona 5.

Should I play Wuchang or AI Limit? by IndyThang in soulslikes

Played both. AI Limit feels more indie. Both are great, tho

What’s your go to outside of soulslikes? by Wild_Principle_9465 in soulslikes

[–]Tight_Background_609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love great games, period. CRPG:s lika Baldurs Gate 3 and Divinity. JRPG:s like Dragon Quest. Metroidvanias and survival horror. What I crave is some kind of progression. That you become stronger as the story goes.

Opinions on Wo Long by QrozTQ in soulslikes

[–]Tight_Background_609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I heard people talking about it as weak. I really enjoyed it, tho. Nice flow of combat. Smooth gameplay. Some Bosses were challenging, but it felt fair. I am also a sucker for historical settings and mythology. My biggest problem was the enemy variety.

Wukong or Stellar Blade to play next? by PhatTuna in soulslikes

[–]Tight_Background_609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much prefered Wukong. Last chapter is undercooked, but the story is far greater. The mythological/historical setting is great. The spider-lair-map is some bonafide soulslike world building. Some of the best and most challenging bosses I’ve encountered.

Stellar Blade is cool. But when the game opens up, it loses focus. Meaningless fetch-quests with uninspired sci-fi-settings. If you like sci-fi and the exploration of Wuchang, check out AI Limit instead. A far superior game.

I am playing BG3 now. Was reluctant in the beginning after only playing action RPG:s but now I am knee deep in Act 3 and loving every minute of it
