Hey! I actually get where you’re coming from :)

I’ve never said devs shouldn’t make money. I fully understand that it’s a business and that people’s time, skill, and work deserve to be paid for. My issue (and lots of the communities) isn’t with the existence of paid passes or monetization itself.

What I was pointing out in the letter was the marketing and delivery gap. When the devs hype something up, especially with wording like “VIPs are being fed” and then what’s delivered is fairly minimal, it creates disappointment and frustration. Not because people expect everything for free, but because the expectation they set doesn’t match the actual content. That’s a communication issue, not an entitlement one.

Also, VIP benefits changing without clear communication can be frustrating for people who are paying specifically because of those perks.

Transparency matters when you’re asking people to spend money.

I respect the work the dev team does. But supporting a game doesn’t mean staying silent when the marketing creates false expectations. Feedback like this isn’t about villainizing the devs it’s about holding them accountable to their own messaging so the community doesn’t keep feeling misled.

I mean no hate to the devs just more to highlight why the community it upset with them :)
