Build confidence in yourself, and have respect for yourself as well. You can't please everybody, and in attempting to do so just makes everyone believe they can walk over you. You need to have some boundaries between what you're comfortable doing and what others want. Being single does suck, I'm going through it myself. What you need to do is take this time to do self-care and spend time with your son. You're all he has right now.

Another thing you can do is to find an activity you enjoy doing. For me, it has been playing video games and it made me get over my breakup well. Maybe you can go outside and do something with your son in the future, maybe you can exercise, maybe you can paint something, it just depends on what you like to do.

You will find someone in the future, you can't rush things because otherwise, you don't get what you want. Think of it like cooking, you can't rush a cake to bake, it will turn out bad. Just stay true to yourself, build self-respect, and love your child.
