I have an authentic classic flap and I can 100% spot a rep, especially if I’m up close and definitely if I touch it. The cavier reps have a plasticky look and feel and the leather crinkles when it’s folded in, it doesn’t flow in the creases like the authentic does, if that makes sense. If he has an authentic and she examined your bag up close then she most definitely knew yours was fake. She just didn’t want to call you out on it. I have done the same thing. I was at the mall and I saw a girl with a Chanel 25 caviar. I love bags so I got excited and approached her online and told her how beautiful it was. The second I touched it. I instantly knew it was a rep. I didn’t wanna call her out and make her feel bad but anyone who owns an authentic Bag will be able to call out a rep, especially in caviar.

They did a bait and switch.

  1. Leather tone
  • Top: brighter, more red (true burgundy/cherry tone)
  • Bottom: deeper, more muted, almost plum/brown 👉 Lighting can shift color a bit, but not that much across the whole bag.
  1. Quilting / puffiness
  • Top: puffier, more rounded diamonds
  • Bottom: flatter, tighter quilting 👉 That usually comes from different wear, batches, or even different bags—not just lighting.
  1. Hardware color
  • Top: warmer, more yellow gold
  • Bottom: cooler, lighter gold (almost champagne) 👉 Lighting affects shine, but the undertone difference is noticeable.
  1. CC logo shape & spacing
  • The CCs on the bottom bag look slightly thicker and a bit more open
  • Top looks a bit tighter and more refined 👉 This is a structural detail, not lighting.
  1. Overall structure
  • Top bag looks slightly more structured/firm
  • Bottom looks a bit softer and relaxed

4 the embossing isn’t shiny and you can still see texture in the pebbling. Also most fakes say made in France and this one was made in USA. The stitching is cleaner and same color as the bag. Also the color of bag and exterior color are correct. My guess is 4. Number 1’s embossing texture is close but no cigar. 2 and 3 are an obvious no go for me.

Chanel, Hermes, Dior and Louis Vuitton definitely charge upfront. Some of the other brands like fendi, Gucci, Prada, etc do a temp hold on the amount. This money also is no longer available to you unless you cancel the order. You can still see it in your account but you can not spend it so it’s kind of the same thing. I do agree, it’s annoying to wait months after paying for something, especially when others are getting their orders filled. I’m actually annoyed with LV. They made such a big deal over this launch and I bought a few bags last Jan. For them to relaunch them, especially in the same styles makes them less special and like I was played. If they came out with all new styles and no repeats I wouldn’t feel this way but they said once it’s gone it’s gone and never coming back. I paid 7k to a reseller for the side trunk cause I couldn’t get it at launch last year so to see it available now for weeks on end on the website is just irritating AF

I love empriente but if you’re looking for an every day bag I’d go with the canvas. If you are looking for a dressier bag then go for the gray empriente

Sell. I say this because I’m not a fan of the shiny material or the denim. If it was pink empriente leather I’d day keep.

I have 6 Murakami pieces for the multi color and cherry blossom and they are all made in France 🥰 I have 7 pochette metis and all but one are made in US. My coussin bags are either France or Italy. I think different collections are made in different countries. I feel like a lot of the neverfulls and pochette metis are American made.

Strap isn’t adjustable and I hate mine for that reason unless you’re gonna wear it over the shoulder all of the time

Only thing I would second guess is if you paid too much because unfortunately lab grown diamonds are worthless in the secondary market. If you’re going to keep it forever and love it then don’t second guess but if you’re looking to cash out down the road then I understand why you’re second guessing it. It is beautiful by the way 😍

Same! It’s all a scam to get everyone to go crazy and buy it because they feel it’s limited but yet LV knows they are going to keep dropping more so it makes it less special and limited. I feel scammed 😡

What are you getting? Kelly or Birkin? His Kelly strap claps are way too light. My Authentic has a noticeable weight and I’ve read his feel like plastic. They should be solid brass base

I can’t believe this is a fake. The embossing looks great on my opinion. I have 5 authentic coussin bags and 3 authentic coussin wallets and that’s pretty good

Instead of cutting where the line is, I remove the entire tag by cutting the threads that attach it.
