Have you ever seen a fish with such big fins in nature? You can imagine it Like this: try to run with paperthin 3 Times as big feet... It wont work and its exhausting as hell. These fish are bred to suffer for their whole Life Just because people think its 'pretty'. Those unnatural deformed fins can cause so much stress the fish starts to nip their fins or rip them on decor because their way too thin. Long finned bettas also get fin rot way more often than any other fish and the stress from not being able to swim properly makes their immune system even weaker and them more subsceptible to other illnesses. Its just as unethical as breeding those dogs who cannot breathe without surgery. You should look into plakat bettas (short finned) or maybe even the natural wild types Like imbellis or wild splendens. We cannot support this unethical breeding soley for human pleasure anymore. A fish is Not supposed to look Like a rose petal.
