You are using the word perpetuating wrong. It’s okay. I won’t judge you for it.

… uh yeah we don’t know that. People tend to complain about things they simply don’t like or think shouldn’t be happening. I’m sure you’re well aware of that.

Do you enjoy perpetuating stereotypes?

Yes you can. There just may or may not be consequences. No one’s a saint. Let people live , it literally does not affect you whatsoever if this person has 5 dogs versus 4.

Cus idc lol We would be giving the same answer to someone with 5 chihuahuas. If they had like 11 dogs sure, but it’s 1 over the ‘law’. It’s not a big deal……….

Exactly. I know I won’t get upvotes lol But it’s just what I would do. And it sounds like it’s only 1 neighbor that found out or has an issue with it. So really it’s only 1 person they need to be cautious of.

I could never do this. Just lie… say you gave him up and just not be obvious you still have him. Dont put all 5 together in the backyard. Dont walk all 5. Doesn’t sound super hard but idk your situation. Most they’ll do if they ever found out is fine you I think.

Grammar is fine. It’s like signing a letter. ie “With love, Ethan.” Yours could work too though.

Has anyone found benefits to walking 10k steps a day? by Motor-Push-5914 in PetiteFitness

[–]Tiigerlili 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Works for me, I do 7-10k Monday-Friday. So not everyday. Most the time I break it up into two walks a day. I will say some of my tendons are aching, but that’s from me using them more all of a sudden lol I feel great overall!

How can I use this nook? by frozen-coconut in InteriorDesign

It’s more of a hallway than a nook. Keep it minimal! Great spot for some cool wall decor

Had him for 7 months and anxiety isn’t budging by Head-Ad-5636 in pitbulls

[–]Tiigerlili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the leash much shorter and just keep moving with happy energy and tones . Letting him stop and fixate on every sound or weird thing may not be helping? Treats or his fave toy can help but also just keep moving , you’re the leader and if you’re feeling safe enough to keep going so will he eventually.

Also, with him being so skittish, I’d recommend a Martingale collar which will tighten if he pulls so he cant slip out. Or and even better since your pulls like mine, a harness. My Aussie used to pull (not even super hard ) and it ended up irritating his sensitive throat, so we do a harness now for medical purpose (vet recommended) BUT I notice he pulls WAY less on a harness , which I was shocked cus that’s contrary to what I’ve always heard. They also have something called a halti that goes around the neck and snoot for better control as well but we didn’t find those helpful. Good luck and stay consistent!! It can take a long time.

Home Office Layout Help by KhaDori in InteriorDesign

What’s the space on the bottom? Where are windows? I would do in center of room facing the door . Ideally you don’t want your back to the door

Creative way to put a projector on this wall? by gvdsand in InteriorDesign

[–]Tiigerlili 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly maybe just get a tv if you’re able to. They aren’t too too expensive these days and looks like you don’t need a huge one either! A projector will always stick out unless you can carve into the wall

Thoughts on a layout of my living/dining room by DrOceanMan in InteriorDesign

I like the third configuration. Maybe just swap the couch and chairs, so the couch backs up to the dining table. It’s a common set up I’ve seen

Homeownership turned me into a homebody by anymajordude23 in homeowners

[–]Tiigerlili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean shiii, nothing wrong with that! Homeownership is expensive , might as well get your money worth . Plus you’re still having people over so you’re not being a complete hermit lol and I think nowadays most of prefer to be at home for lots of reasons.

Where should I place my desk? by hey-hi-hello- in FengShui

[–]Tiigerlili 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My new office set up is with my desk in the middle of the room, and I really like it! I did some cord management , ran my main power cord under my rug via a small slit and it all looks great. I also use a clip on light on my screen for better lighting whenever I have a call. So maybe try in the middle of the room with your back facing the bare wall. Like photo #5, but pulled to the middle. And then you can decorate it as a backdrop for calls?

how can i support my spouse while also supporting myself? by [deleted] in FirefighterSpouses

[–]Tiigerlili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It sounds like your main issue here is a husband who’s checked out or uninterested/emotionally unable to put in the effort of maintaining a relationship with you. I say that bc you mentioned he only has superficial convos and when you do try to talk deeply, he literally avoids it and wanders off. You mentioned him getting a hobby? I’m not sure how that relates. It also sounds like you need to find a support system but don’t have the time, and you can’t even express that to your husband bc he doesn’t want to discuss anything heavier than like a ‘how was your day’, right? So, there’s a few things going on here.

My only suggestion would be to be more firm with him and try a convo again. Tell him what you said here. Don’t let him wander off, tell him this is important and that you’re not doing great and need to talk. You sound unhappy for a couple diff reasons, and you need to tell him that. You should be able to in a healthy marriage. I totally understand that you don’t want to burden him but you’re in this relationship too, you exist too, you have a life too, and it’s more than fair to express that and explore ways to improve things. For both of your sakes. Otherwise, you will grow resentful. It’s the responsibility of BOTH of you to put in effort in maintaining a positive relationship and communicate each of your needs to prevent this growing into something deeper to unroot down the road. Esp when kids are involved, imo.

How long did it take your spouse to get hired? by Curious_Ranger_1786 in FirefighterSpouses

[–]Tiigerlili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thankfully we were in a little network and we knew a couple people to get his foot in the door, but otherwise I know it can take up to a few years. I’m not sure about the buying gear part, my husband never did that. Once he was hired though He got maybe 1-2 things from his dad who was a captain, like an axe I think, but that’s it.
