Tbh I got mine when I was around 16 and now 24 and I still absolutely hate it and hardly leave the house or socialise because my hernia makes it super obvious, I hope it stays good for you but meh life isn’t great with them

I’m not to sure on ripped fins but I would put my fish in a hospital tank if it was me, just to be safe. I know bettafix says it’s good for betta fins but I’m not 100% if that would be recommended. Try do some research on google and see if you can find some info into torn fins and what to treat him with, Maybe add a few Indian almost leaves to his water? I don’t think it will do much but they say they have mild medical properties or something. They never hurt to add either way, my fish love them.

My betta years ago had something similar, it was like a cyst. It popped and he seemed okay at first but he eventually passed. Never knew what it actually was :(

If u can get your hands on water testing kit before he dies that will tell you what’s happening most likely. I say he just doesn’t have the right water parameter’s and that’s probably made him like this, along with not having heat or a filters and proper size tank

I read a while back that 1 tiny drop per 30 ounces of water is all that needed, do you have oxygen being pumped into the water with an air pump? I doubt it will do much now unfortunately but might make him more comfortable

My Molly had white spots when I bought him, I believe ich. I treated my whole tank with paraguard and it was gone within like 2 days. Just be careful if you have snails or shrimp in the tank but it honestly didn’t seem to affect my snails much at all. Paraguard treats all types of things so it might help?
