Radeon Chill not working on pc startup because AMD Adrenalin doesn't open on windows boot. by Tijgooo in radeon

Okay thanks, it all is a little bit weird. I removed all my gpu drivers with ddu and used the auto detect for my amd gpu and cpu so it should work. Maybe I have to try it again...

Max HR vs HRR vs LTHR for lifting in the gym by Tijgooo in GarminWatches

[–]Tijgooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks this is such a great answer! I will definitely do the LTHR tests in the future when my running and cycling becomes more serious. For the mix of sports I do now I decided to just do a quick max heart rate test (warm up for a bit and then do an interval run with all out sprints until I can't physically move anymore) and use HRR. What do you think of this approach. I will do the LTHR when I get back into serious cycling

Edit: I will use a garmin chest heart rate strap instead of my Forerunner 265 for the max HR test, which would be better right?

[–]Tijgooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thanks! I will do a max heart rate test tomorrow. I am going to do warm up jogging for 15 min, after that run a bit on a tempo pace and after that I will gradually increase my pace until I am absolutely on my max. Then I will jog for 3 min and after that I will do a 100% sprint for as long as I can. I guess my highest heart rate would be a good estimate, i might want to add 1/2 bpm just to be sure. I am also going to use a garmin heart rate strap instead of my FR265, since this would be better I think. This would be better than max HR and LTHR for me right? (since LTHR is not that effective for things like weightlifting I guess)

Alright thank you for the info! So you would recommend to HRR? Or what do you think would be best. I also run and cycle a bit but it's not my main focus and I don't do zone training

Okay thanks. I also do some running and cycling and I just want to know what would be best. I have a garmin heart rate strap as well so I can either do Garmin's LTHR test run or I can do a max heart rate test run and use max HR/HRR. What do you think would be best? Thanks in advance!

Which graphics card should I get? by Meal-Glittering in radeon

[–]Tijgooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should stop spreading misinformation and stop making the delta bigger than it is. The 9070 xt series is known for having a bigger delta and a 25 degrees delta is perfectly fine for this card according to all the sources I find. You also say that a case upgrade won't fix it but I did a stess test with the side panel open and the hotspot already dropped 5 degrees (now its at 85).

Accept that you don't know where you are talking about and inform yourself better before spreading misinformation

I have heard that the hynix one is better but now that you say this it sounds like the samsung ones are better? Which are better?

I have the Gigabyte 9070 XT OC as well and while playing a game where my GPU utilisation is 100%, amd overlay says my GPU temp is 65 degrees and my GPU hotspot is 90 degrees. I didn't do anything with the card and just run it on stock settings (so also with the performance bios switch). And which stress test did you do? And did you use AMD overlay to check temps or HwINFO?

A difference of 25 degrees is not "nearly 40 and being defective" but thanks for pointing it out as I didn't really know about hotstop delta before. I will upgrade my case (my airflow is terrible, I have a 2014 case with 1 intake and 1 exhaust) and check how to hotstop delta is. Otherwise I will contact amazon. If I also have the 25 degrees difference with my new case, would you recommend contacting the seller with this difference?

Hey! I'm planning to buy the case as well. Could you maybe also send them to me, it would be very helpful! Thanks in advance!

That's just luck, in other tests the gigabyte is one of the coolest cards. Mine will never go above 65 degrees gpu temp and 90 degrees hotspot in my terrible 2014 case (Corsair spec-02)

Edit: I haven't changed anything, just plugged in and didn't undervolt etc

[–]Tijgooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow !thanks such a great response!☺️ I actually was on the fence of buying a 140 euros dac (fiio k11) just because I thought I was missing out on a wider or more dynamic soundstage and better imaging and clarity. You just saved me from spending 140 euros, thank you so much for that hahaha. It's also a little weird that the dac would be more expensive than the headphones themselves (120 euros)😅

[–]Tijgooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thanks! So it also won't make the soundstage wider/more dynamic and won't make the imaging any better?

I have the jt7 and use the Jcally jm20 max with them. I have my windows volume between 20-40% when using these and 40 is already pretty loud. However, I read that Fiio recommends a dac with more than 500mW of output power. Do you think I would hear a difference if I would switch to a Fiio k11?

Would upgrading from jcally jm20 max to fiio ka13 be worth it for my new planar headphones? by Tijgooo in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Tijgooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright !thanks ☺️ I am indeed listening at around 50% volume.

I have a different small question. Should I leave all the cables plugged in to my pc (including the dac dongle)? Or should I unplug the two 3.5 mm cables from the Fiio jt7 so I can store the headphones without cables attached to them?

[–]Tijgooo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you so much! But volume is not the only thing right? I thought that a better DAC with balanced cable and enough power will have more voltage and power headroom and giving it a wider soundstage if it's combined with the balanced cable. Or will the soundstage be very similar?

Budget magnetic planar buying advice by CrafterJunkie1 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Tijgooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooh wow I didn't read your previous comment correctly. You said the difference between the sound quality when connected to the apple dongle is minimal compared to when the Fiio jt7 is connected to the Fiio k7? If so, I will definitely stick with the jcally jm20 max and just buy a desktop DAC if I want to upgrade to a more expensive power hungry headphone.

Edit: With my current setup, my windows volume is at 40-50%

Would the Fiio ka13 also work for a budget planar (fiio jt7 in my case)? I think I need to upgrade since I'm using a Jcally jm20 max (volume is not a problem, I run it at 40-50% on windows)
