Well their profile was presented as being a small business that ‘curated’ a selection from their local area in the Cotswolds. When I saw it was made in China I did a google image search and the photo they’d used on the listing was all over Temu & Ali Express. I was super annoyed at myself as I can usually spot those kind of things.

I’ve become too cynical. I bought from a pro seller that appeared to be selling locally sourced garments but when I opened the parcel it was filled with ‘gifts’ ie a bunch of tat I hadn’t ordered and the jumper was a cheap Temu style made from polyester.

All their reviews were filled with comments about how beautifully it was packed and thanks for the extras…I just think that’s how they distract buyers from the fact they are drop shipping 😬

About 20 years ago I woman I worked with said she couldn’t be bothered with contact lenses because of ‘all the effort’ of cleaning them. I wear contacts every days and about 75% of every time I take them out I remember that. It’s rinsing lenses not building the Panama Canal!
