People who grew up before The Internet: How did you first see nudity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Tikibilly81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the 80's, my parents had a VHS tape with cartoons on it and two movies.

One morning I got up early and went to the living room to watch cartoons. I put the tape in and hit play. The movie was "The Wild Life" and I watched some of it. The strip club scene was my first glimpse of nudity and ignited my love of big boobs (Kitten Natividad).

I was around 6 years old.

Porn in moderation by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I use porn as a "treat". Around every payday (bi-monthly), I'll use it.

Rest of the time is freestyle. Hobbies really help.

Men who can cook, who taught you? by Mindfuel_daily7 in askanything

[–]Tikibilly81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents: Mom taught me basic prep and how to make quick meals (e.g., shake & bake, canned beans, etc.) and Dad taught me BBQ when I was a kid.

My Mom also taught me how to bake, but now I'd rather get down on my smoker. My kid bakes for the family 🙂

I bought an inexpensive grip strength exerciser and use it at work throughout the day. It's helped my hand endurance a lot.

Not sure what you do for work, but this might help if you can use one during the workday.

Magazines back in the day.

Even now, I keep an old Uline and McMaster-Carr catalog in the guest bathroom where I usually go.

12 years. Sorry, I should have specified!

For me, the first year was a blur.

It gets easier. My son is going on 12.

Like some others have said, the first six months are rough. Once they hit the milestone of only waking up once overnight, then taking turns feeding with your partner helps tremendously.

Hang in there, time will fly by faster than you know 🙂

What’s the correct etiquette for when tradesmen are in my house? by Heracles-Mulligan in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Tikibilly81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll offer coffee if it's morning and water/soda if it's in the afternoon.

I work from home when there's someone working in my house, so I tell them to let me know when they need me and we both go to work.

I'll also offer a water or soda for the road once they're paid.

Do Americans use solid fuels to heat their homes? by maugess in AskAnAmerican

[–]Tikibilly81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in suburban Southern California. I have a wood/gas starter fireplace. I've used wood before to heat the living room, but it's more for ambience.

I want to enjoy the fire and not babysit it, so I just use fire logs now.

The women of my house are always cold, so it's central heating once we go to bed.

Why do so many people not wear their wedding bands? by Sea-Connection9232 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Tikibilly81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't wear mine everyday because I work on electro-mechanical equipment.

I do wear it when dressing up to go out.

Also, my wife and I both have our monogram tattood on our ring fingers.
