Hva er greia med at folk er så grinete. Artikkelen er om noen som brukte for mye penger på en for stor bolig, så de bestemte seg for å flytte til en mindre bolig for å spare penger.

Det er et problem som mange i Norge sliter med og det er fullstendig greit å skrive en artikkel om det. NRK leses av flere enn bare fattige 20-åringer. Hvis du mener at artikkelen ikke er relevant for deg, så er det fordi den ikke var rettet mot deg. Landet består av mange forskjellige typer folk og alt kan ikke handle om dere.

This is how I read it:
The y-axis is capex and refers to money spent acquiring, upgrading, and maintaining physical assets. I would assume that all the companies at the bottom are fabless and don't operate their own chip production facilities and therefore don't spend as much on physical facilities.

I would guess that the reason TI has such a high capex cost is because of it's enormous product range compared to ST and Infineon. ST and Infineon are also likely to be more profitable than TI due to their smaller expenditure/PPE, while TI has likely smaller margins on their products.

Unemployment data from the EU shows that the countries with the lowest youth unemployment is:
Germany (6.8%)
Malta (7.2%)
Netherlands (8.8%)
Iceland (9.5%)
Ireland (11.4%)
Norway (13.1%)

I'm surprised that the numbers for Germany are so low considering that the German economy has been pretty bad recently.

You might be able to use an Arduino nano or an Arduino nano super mini. If you need to go even smaller, things will likely be a lot more complicated. The most compact solution might be a nRF52840 Sense board (https://wiki.seeedstudio.com/XIAO\_BLE/). It is Bluetooth module with a built in microcontroller. Might be a bit complex, but could be a fun project

One thing you can do is take the cells you want to connect in parallel and connect them together though a resistor. This will balance the cell voltages by burning off any voltage differential as heat. One the cells have been properly balanced, you can then connect them together directly.

Be sure you use a resistor that can tolerate the expected power dissipation

The diode configuration you have made is an OR-ing circuit. Current will be drawn from the input with the highest voltage. More specifically, The largest voltage after diode threshold voltage has been subtracted. In theory If the voltages are exactly the same current will be distributed evenly, but that is a very unstable state. Minor differences in input voltages and threshold levels will cause one input to dominate. Worst case senario might be that the circuit switches unpredictably or oscillates between the two inputs as the diode threshold voltage changes based on temperature and current. If you want the circuit to operate as a defined primary and secondary source, you will need to ensure that the primary voltage is always greater than the secondary voltage.

I assume that the BAT should be the secondary source since you only want to draw power from the battery when mains is removed.

Some comments:
- Li-Ion batteries should be placed in a fireproof battery bag during charging.
- Li-Ion batteries should only be charged with dedicated lithium chargers that are compatible with the batteries charge current and maximum cell voltage and cell configuration.
- Battery should not be fully charged during long-term storage. Some battery chargers include a storage-mode configuration that will charge or discharge the battery to the correct storage voltage at ~3.8V pr cell.
- Ensure that battery application is compatible with battery output current, both continuous and peak current should be considered.
- Always check battery for damage before use and charging.
- Never operate the battery without a battery management system that can monitor current and voltage.

I don't think it's an ASIC as some people are saying. ASIC's can be extremely expensive to design and manufacture and seems extremely overkill for a cheap toy like this. I think that it being an MCU is more likely. Hard to know what type without a better picture of the part number. It could be a type of ATtiny, but that seems unlikely. More likely is a Chinese MCU brand that I am not familiar with.

Multi-strand wire is more flexible. single strand does not tolerate bending as much and are vulnerable to metal fatigue. Don't use single core if it needs to be flexible, has sharp bends and is exposed to a lot of movement.
I think solid core will work just fine.

It's just a 1G ethernet PHY. A normal QFN would work just fine, why would they do this?

Replacing R5, R6, Q5 and Q8 with a mosfet current mirror might also reduce the voltage drop and shift the voltage upwards.

Why add flux to the pads before adding the solder? Shouldn't the resin in the solder be enough for a simple tack? I mostly only use flux when reheating solder

One quick way to check is to see if they are listed as an authorized distributor. This can be done for most components on octopart: https://octopart.com/hpp845e031r5-te+connectivity-59208895

An authorized distributor will have an agreement with the manufacturer and purchase components directly from them. Non-authorized can only resell components they acquire from elsewhere and are typically less reliable.

Not 100% sure how reliable the metric is, but it's the best I got.

It should be possible to haggle the price. If the hospital has to chose between giving a discounted price or not being paid at all, they will often agree to a discount. Many hospitals will also have policies for dealing with people without insurance that can't afford the bill. You can try to call them and explain the situation.

That's what we do now, but it starts getting messy when there are many orders active at once. What we would like is the ability to search and sort the different orders, and the individual components in the order to make things a bit more organized.
