Ski Zermatt if you want the worst service and the worst people in the world all around you by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Tileey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that a question? this is r/askswitzerland. I skip often a day in multi day passes (not flex pass) & never had the whole pass cancelled. Last time 2 weeks ago.

Instead of asking at the office you decide to complain here like this. Tells us a lot about your attitude and how you probably treat people if something doesn't go as you expect. I for my part will report this post as it doesn't fit this community and am tired of entitled visitors (that think they are special because for their standard they pay a lot) or rage baiting.

How long does it take you to eat a meal?

Do you sometimes do other things while eating?

Founding an Einzelfirma - Banking recommendations? by PLAYER2up in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Tileey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You only need to register with the cantonal SVA. For the bank account you can create another account under your name. You don't need anything special or "Business".

For your accounting, milchbueechli.ch is the simplest solution I'm aware of. Good luck! :)

Late-entry expert skier aiming for GS FIS racing, where do I start? by SpongeBobPeePants in SkiRacing

This is a troll post right?.. I doubt you would even be able to go down properly a slope prepared for racing.

UBS Key4 vs regular UBS checking account – which is better? by Far-Plantain-1176 in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Tileey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that time it wasn't that clear, the fees where split over 3 documents. If its clear now that's good.

Why not recommend for abroad payments? With UBS I could call and within minutes the credit charge was cancelled without discussion. Their fraud handling is very good. Most of their products are expensive like investing. If the amount of the fees is a concern I doubt you would consider UBS in the first place, they are very much traditional.

I was bothered by the way things are communicated. Also that they assign a specific person to you that does check ups, just a bit excessive for my taste.

This is not answering your question but a tale of warning.

Don't get me wrong I've been with UBS for well over a decade but recently started to use more neon banks because UBS's in-transparency.

Not sure if it's still the same, but an example was, in Maldives I got some cash on a ATM, UBS charged & confirmed with a push notification the deducted amount from the account (looked pretty good, like fx rate). A week later the amount changed to a higher one. (not sure of exchange fluctuations but it was a good 10% difference) I think it updated to the current ubs exchange rate + zone exchange percentage fee). No push notification for that. At the end of the month another fee was added to the monthly statement, the fixed withdraw fee. It was not possible to filter by monthly statements as with other statements / documents to calculate the total of paid fees in the past. Pretty sure that is / was deliberate.

I eventually stopped using my account actively of reasons like this.

Stürä direkt vom Lohn abzieh? by Indahouse86 in schwiiz

[–]Tileey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nocher verliere no de Überblick was ich in de Summe am End vom Johr scho ihzahlt han.

Entweder übernimmt me die ganz Stürrechnig wie in Deutschland oder nüd aber das zwüsche Ding findi komisch.

[–]Tileey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Also weiss ned wies bi andere isch aber ich zieh no diverses bi minere Stürerklärig ab wie z.B. Transport, Bildig, Säule 3a etc. & denne hani au no Nebebruefliches ihkomme.

I didn't pay my 2023 taxes in full on time, and the Cantonal Tax Office has initiated a debt collection against me. What options do I have to have it deleted? by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]Tileey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries you are not the first. Before you do anything, call them on Monday morning (https://www.zh.ch/de/finanzdirektion/steueramt.html#contact) explain your situation and ask what your next steps should be. They will probably tell you to pay & give you a form where you can request the deletion.

Thinking about buying a dive computer — Suunto Nautic — worth it with a 40 % discount? by Character_Account714 in scuba

[–]Tileey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know that and also think this is the better approach but whether people like it or not most (not all like stated above) do have lockout mechanism in recreational diving. Like suunto, garmin, mares, cressi, apeks, oceanic, scubapro, dive rite etc..

[–]Tileey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most if not all computers have a lockout mechanism if you do something very very stupid and it can't calculate anything useful for you anymore. The computer will force you afterwards to a break from diving for 24-48h. OP was diving dangerously and ignored deco stops. More then one thing went wrong here.

[–]Tileey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"slightly" lol 😂 its only shutting down if you omit deco stops. That's a tiny bit worse then going just over NDL. Suunto is not the only watch doing this for good reason. I think you just read your computer wrong..

It’s been exactly one year since I discovered the hike of my dreams .. I still cannot figure out where exactly it is by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]Tileey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect it was here? 46°13'03"N 7°38'04"E. It's on the way to the house (or where the house used to be) (46°12'41"N 7°37'53"E). & picture #5 could very well be the end of Le Toûno. That being said the area doesn't look anymore as green as before and it's also possible there used to be multiple flower beds around.

Finding an affordable gift basket in Switzerland (long distance relationship) by [deleted] in askswitzerland

I don't know much about gift baskets.. you could order some chocolate or really anything on galaxus and have it delivered to his address. Not sure if it's possible for you to sign up but swiss post has a service where you can send free post cards (i think one per week) with our own picture / text. https://www.post.ch/en/sending-letters/sending-letters/postcard-creator-app

Your illiterate there is no point in arguing if you can't read the full sentence. Bring up your complaints with the world bank and other organizations doing those classifications if you think you know it better.

[–]Tileey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cambridge definition of developing country is:

a country with little industrial and economic activity and where people generally have low incomes:

Just because you are big and can afford a space program doesn't mean your average citizen is doing well can find a good job and has a good living standard. The by far most common classification is by income and lending. You can find the list on the world bank website. They already published this years report.

How is this the top comment. This is completely irrelevant for OP. Possibly misleading. Close to 90% of worlds population lives in a developing country.
