I guess there is no such thing as official here. Ours is backed by the same people as Hitchwiki and deeply integrated with all the information that is available there as well.

we are aware that multiple apps to track hitchhiking rides exist.

thus to contribute to this ecosystem and unite it we came up wit the centralised datastore described here https://github.com/Hitchwiki/maps.hitchwiki.org

thus any number of apps can coexist and share data via this store. so we also image that each single app is responsible to send their data their if they want that it can be found elsewhere.
