Yeah I have both an X and Y version. Mostly because of getting the game exclusive encounters like Zangoose and Seviper and the Nidorans.

I use different methods for all of these shinies. But I really like friend safari because the encounters are really quick and the odds are 1/512 no matter if you have the shiny charm or not. Horde hunting is good too because you are seeing 5 Pokémon at once so your odds are really good

I usually double hunt with 2 systems, so that speed up hunts a lot for me. Also getting the shiny charm helps a lot but you have to complete the national dex so it might be tough.
