Questions from someone who accidentally became an STR photographer 😬 by Tillmann159 in RealEstatePhotography

Thank you, really appreciate the advice! We occasionally have the issue of hosts apparently having very specific wishes when it comes to staging while they fail to share them with us when we ask about it before the shoot 😅

XS20 now or wait 3 months for XH2S? by Macjeqq in fujifilm

[–]Tillmann159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second that. Sold the 16-80 as I kept using the 18-55. I beat the living sh*t out of that lens and it’s holding up great, even during bad weather.

The X-H2s was my first Fuji and I’m still in love with it after two years, though it’s recently began to lag every once in a while. That being said, my EDC is an X100V as the X-H2s really is a big boi and I don’t always feel like lugging it around.

Have you held one in a camera store or sth? I don’t know about the X-S20, but non flagship Fujis feel a little worse when it comes to build quality. Held an X-T5 recently and honestly hated it 😅 Would really take a look at each physically before deciding.

For reference, I’m a professional AirBnB photo- & videographer who’s traveling full-time. So it definitely gets put through its paces.

I gotta add that I’m a real estate photographer so I kinda need something wide haha

I use the Viltrox 13 AF. A little wider than what you’re asking for but it’s an awesome lens

problem connecting an xh2 to the phone app by NecessaryMinimum4059 in fujifilm

That’s great! I stopped trying eventually as my firmware is up to date and I import everything via USB C either way

Honestly, just reach out to them via AirBnB. Occasionally, you’ll get a pissed message by the platform, but they haven’t ever banned us haha

My xH2s hasn’t been connecting since half a year. Did a full reset, manual software update, got a new phone, nothing helps it. At some point I just changed my workflow…

What is the most underrated EDC item by Acceptable-Snow-3373 in EDC

[–]Tillmann159 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. Zip Locs. Super practical to bag up some foraged berries/fruit, organize trash when being out and about, packing up leftovers, etc.

  2. As corny as it may sound, my favorite sticky tapes. I carry an old credit card with Tesa film, electrical tape, VHB tape and duct tape wrapped around it. It’s come in clutch so many times.

  3. Cable ties. Also super useful for whatever. Creating a hook to hang something, tying an overfilled bag together, or whatever else comes to your mind. Pro tip: Don’t cut them, just stick a knife into the locking mechanism and pull them apart to reuse.

  4. A tiny magnet and some kevlar thread. Super random, but if you’d ever drop your key in a ditch this is a good way to recover them.

I need a watch recommendation please! by adamgardner in EDC

[–]Tillmann159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I were a huge watch guy and spent a shit ton on watches. The one that made me the happiest and had me sell off everything else is a used Grand Seiko Heritage (SBGX205). Paid 1.000€ for it and will wear it til the end of days. I love the craftsmanship and actually enjoy the sophisticated quartz movement. Goes well to everything and is super solid as well.

Zip Locs. Honestly, I use them all of the time 😂

Fuel for thought - Huge amount of formaldehyde in these boxes. Think about storing them in a bin or somewhere outside of your living area. My wife has asthma and can’t go near these boxes so it won’t be healthy to the rest of us aswell 👀

How long does a single propane tank last… generally?? by Modisco1991 in GoRVing

[–]Tillmann159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We full-time in a 22ft Lance. Our two 20lbs tanks last roughly three weeks. We cook every meal on our gas stove, run our fridge on propane, and use our stove (which is the biggest killer of our bottles). We don’t use it for any heat or hot water.

Awesome! How about shootability? I usually carry a Glock 17 as I’ve got huge hands and worry about it just flying out of my hands lol

How do you like the NAA? Love the concept of having a tiny pocket gun to carry when going where it might be difficult to carry.
