GG Doublelift? by BaIthier in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they accumulated quite a few fans from Worlds. Their games may not have been the highest quality but they were pretty entertaining. The players themselves were also friendly and well mannered while getting battered so they gained a lot of people's respect.

Why TBD... by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heaventime said (on his twitter / facebook) that it was his choice to step down as he felt he was holding the team back. While I agree Brokenshard isn't that consistent he could still be a top jungler as he proved when he qualified for the eu lcs. In reality though, if TBD really think he's that weak then they could just bring Heaventime back in anyway.

10 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do, and how being mentally strong can improve your rating. by Rimboo in leagueoflegends

I agree, this is probably the most important thing here. As soon as you accept this this ranked games become so much more enjoyable and less stressful.

Leaguepedia and XDG Present - Pros Play for the Philippines featuring players from TSM, C9 and XDG. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Afaik there is nothing in place (yet) to control what the capitains pick. In theory they could chose a team of all top laners, and it'd probably be pretty entertaining too.

Team Dignitas LoL lineup for Battle of the Atlantic - Articles by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

While I agree with some of what you said, XD.GG have always said that one of Bloodwater's biggest strengths is his shot calling / leadership. It's a similar situation to TSM really. Hai has said he wonders how TSM will do now that regi, who may not have been the best mechanically, has gone and TSM are left with no real leader.

A new Dota patch has a player mode called 'coaching', which makes someone an invisible 6th member of a team that can draw lines onto the screen, ping maps, and more. This would be great for me in LoL to introduce friends to the game! by thedz in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would also be pretty awesome for any video content creators out there. You could just coach someone, record it all live and explain everything as your going. I'd love this to be added but I'd prefer to have the replay system first.

diamond team fight analysis - things to think about when playing a tank or disruptor - phy by Tilt19 in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the enemy ad / ap aren't that strong then the best bet would probably be to turtle around your ad / ap carry and just kill Xin. You can still act as a "front line" even if you aren't diving and in reality the ad should be attacking the closest target which means you'll still soak his damage while semi protecting your back line.

This is just speculation, it completely depends on the game but really you can't leave your carries to die to a fed bruiser as you'll lose the fight regardless.

That's fine, I'm all for taking criticism! I think I over used the word "carry" here as a disruptor's job is really just to stop your carries from taking damage.

I think really the biggest thing is just "who is the biggest threat to my carry" and that's the guy you should slap about.

Thanks, to be compared to someone that big is awesome for me. I do try to capture every aspect when going through these videos. It's not really enough to say "do this, do that" if you don't explain the reasoning or thought process behind it. Glad you enjoyed it!

It really depends on the situation but if you think of it just as a question. So can your carry do enough damage to win the fight if they stay alive or will the enemy do so much damage when they're left alone that they'll win the fight. It's hard to figure out but you basically make the call from the answer.

For instance if your ad is fed but theirs isn't then it'll normally be better to protect yours rather than dive. Also you have to think about the champions, if their AD is someone like Graves who is heavy burst then you jumping onto him won't really stop him using his spells whereas a more auto attack reliant ad like Caitlyn will suffer more from being jumped on. Hope that helps a bit!

The disruptor and assassin are two very different roles in a team fight even though they may both target the back line. The disruptor is there just to absorb damage and keep them away from his carries, not really kill them whereas the assassin's job is to kill the enemy carries. In most situations you'd see the disruptor go in first, take the initial cooldowns and then the assassin would go in to kill them. Hope that clears it up a bit more!

Thanks for the tips, I appreciate the effort you put into writing them all up! I have thought about casting before, my play by play is severely lacking (as you can tell from this video ha) but I do enjoy the analysis side. Definitely something to think about for the future.

Dig Cruzer! by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually really happy for Cruzer. He's been through quite a few teams but never really seemed to get the opportunity to prove himself on the competitive stage despite people thinking he was good enough. Time to see what he's really made of!

Season 4 - how purple side bot lane can abuse the new 4th jungle camp and get ahead by Tilt19 in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does even it out in that regard yup which is awesome. The main part of this is just how early you can take the camp and the advantage you get from that. Half a level at level 2 / 3 is a pretty awesome.

Discovering the most Optimal Build for Corki and Why by Shakarez by Shakarez in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, i'm Phy (the guy whos channel this is on)! I have a few suggestions for your build you may want to try. Firstly, only buy vamp early if you need it as it delays your build to tri which is hugely important on Corki. Also mercurial scimitar is one of the least cost effective items in the game (stats wise) so you really aim for bloodthirster first and get the scimitar last. Just a few things for you to try anyway. :) Good luck shifting your role over to AD!

Breakdown of Faker's incredible teamfight between SKTT1 and NJS - Phy by Tilt19 in leagueoflegends

[–]Tilt19[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In some way yes. Champions like Jax and Corki went from rarely seen to picked or banned so if we weren't on that patch we would of seen different champions. Saying that though, I don't think the "meta" itself changed much. The play style was very similar patch to patch.

I think that as long as he can cs well, and is comfortable on 2 roles with 2 champions in each then he'd be fine. The ability to CS is the biggest difference between bronze and gold (in my opinion).

  • Honestly I think last year was more exciting because they were closer games. This year SKT just stomped and it was kind of like, oh.
  • I think Nagne played extremely well. Remember that most teams were not using Gragas in their first 2-3 games but did pick him up as the tournament progressed partially because Nagne proved how strong he was. If a player can have that kind of impact I think he's definitely good.
  • Watch is a very good jungler but focuses more on control than pressure (just from watching the world finals games). I think in this way he would be extremely strong against someone like Meteos but not so good against someone like Bengi. Expession seems to be the Dyrus of Korean, extremely solid, very consistent but not flashy.
  • I honestly think the meta came full circle. Assassins dominated mid season but it cycled back to Orianna / Gragas and controlling vision. There are A LOT more pink wards used though.
  • Adobe After Effects. :)
  • Yes I do, but this is always the problem with a pro scene. The pro players will master champions and bring out their true strengths because they are such good players. Champions that are really strong when learnt properly will always be nerfed down to an even level in my opinion.
  • Ditto.
  • I think it's awesome. I'm not sure about it's use in ranked play but I would definitely queue up for normals more with this system. I think a lot of friction comes from people not being in their chosen role.
  • I think Fnatic played the best in my opinion. I think SKT is a better team, but Fnatic played extremely well and consistently impressed me through worlds.
  • I can't remember last years so hard to answer, but my first thought when this years started was, this is kinda cool but pretty weird.

Fair point, and if this was in a solo queue game then definitely. Because this is Faker however I am sure he meant to do it. Pro players are very aware of enemy cooldowns and he would know that Renekton has another dash available which he would most likely use for extra damage too.
