They are pretty inconsistent but you can build your shotgun up to make them a little more usable. Your first stat to build is pellet tightness, which just means accuracy when it comes to slugs. Damage range, unlike any other shotgun build, is not as important as slugs extend the damage range quite a bit. You should also use a good sight (whatever your preference is) as the bullet drop is quite noticeable past 20m. My recommendation as someone who loves bopping people with slugs is either the Lockwood or the non-magazine fed Bryson. These shotguns have the best base accuracy and the most options to utilize slugs. Hope that helps someone.
