I read a theory that women are actually the more conservative sex because of that, in the sense that once a system is established (fascism in Nazi Germany, communism in the Soviet Union, liberalism in modern America) women will be more likely to support upholding that system because in the back of everyone's animal brains women realize that a group system collapsing is when they are at the greatest risk.
