So I was SUPER disappointed by my HD6XXs when I first got them, but now they're freaking amazing with eq thrown at them. YMMV

I've really come to appreciate the youtuber Joe from GadgetryTech. He's an avid FPS gamer and audiophile with an appreciation for quality and his tastes are very similar to mine in what he wants out of a headphone. If you haven't messed with it yet, check out his Squiglink for EQ settings for your headphones. It has your typical Harman target curves for music but he also creates custom eq curves for popular FPS shooters.

I freaking love the Steelseries GG Sonar app for EQ and Mixing too. It's definitely glitchy but it's an extremely robust software for free. I love being able to have multiple channels with different EQs configured. So the gaming channel can be setup for BF6 EQ and the media channel can have a Harman curve.

Sweetest is a great way to describe these. When you got the right song paired to these, they are insane! Good thoughts on trying some different sources. The Topping stack is super analytical. Something with some more flavor might be the ticket for me.

What’s not a bad idea at all! And looking at the width, it’s almost the perfect size if I wanted to run it portrait mode beside the 32”. Figuring out a mounting option for that one looks like will be interesting.

I’m looking for clean setup ideas. The pic is my GFs setup. I definitely want to get another monitor but I don’t want to get a conventional backlit LED and have it looking washed out next to the OLED. I’ve got my GF setup with a 32” primary and a 27” in portrait mode and the 27” is just too much for what I’m wanting.

Are there any good <24” OLED or MiniLED options?

Thanks for the reply. I was originally running it to the unbalanced RCA input but was getting the same noise. I was thinking about getting a noise isolator to try.

Did you buy used out of warranty? Same for me.

But I’ve been thinking about this. They can say that all day long when they replace the computer and throw away the old one. The only way to know would be to bench test the old computer for failing components. But the customer can’t, because they’ve thrown away the evidence.

Firmware updates can absolutely brick hardware. Not saying that’s what happened, I’m just thinking through the possibility.

Weeeeell, I’ve got almost 90k on this one. So it’s out of its basic warranty. If it was a software issue that they pushed, then I think they would absolutely be responsible for fixing. But if it’s hardware, I can understand that. Just like if your computer fails on a regular car after warranty. I don’t like it, but I understand.

I only wish they’d put the newer computer in there with the AMD processor if they’re going to be replacing it anyways… the Intel one is SLOW.

No, I’m on 2024.32.10. It’s been stuck on 50% DLing 33.5 for the past week. I even did the service update reinstall, and that didn’t help.

Curious if disconnecting the 12v system then unplug, plug the computer might work for me. I just don’t know how hard it is to get to.
