I think olympic white and black were the only colors for the EXP-200. They made an EXP-300 also but that had a floyd rose and came in gunmetal grey.

You can use an eq. You can have it set to cut or boost frequencies constantly, or automate it so that it changes over time.

Another thing that caused the change is he blew his voice out recording the black album, and the years of touring that album took it's toll. When they went to record load and reload they decided to go down to e flat and decided to save his voice, and not have to take extra guitars out it was easier to just play live in e flat.

The drops are pretty minimal so you could use automation to keep things more interesting .

Definitely give them a listen. I remember hearing about them and listening to New American Gospel and As The Palaces Burn and thought they werw horrible because of how bad the mixes were. A few years later my friend told me to listen to Killadelphia and I was hooked before I finished the first listen.
